Question about Sony KDF-E55A20 55 in. LCD Television
Set is two years old. After about a minute the screen will go black. If I leave it alone the picture will come back on after about a minute, but then it goes off again. When the picture goes off, if I hit power off then on again I get 5 blinking red lights on the power indicator and the fan becomes very loud. I don't know all that much about this tv but it doesn't seem like a lamp issue. When the screen is on the picture is fine but it seems like something is overheating.
HELP!! I bought a new thermal fuse hoping that is it. I have no idea how to replace it or where the thermal fuse is located in the set. Could it be the thermal fuse? something else?
Thank You in advance
Let me first say that if you are getting 5 blinks its not the thermal fuse. Your problem is your Lamp. You have what we call an intermittent Lamp. The only way to fix this is to replace the lamp. Part Number A-1085-337-A. Average cost $217.00
