How to change Yahoo! Account's password from Yahoo! Mail

This changes will apply to all your yahoo accounts including Yahoo Messenger, Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Finance etc..etc..
Most people might already know about this, but for those who don't know yet about changing Yahoo!Mail password, I write this article to help them change the yahoo! Mail password. Your Yahoo! password always applies to your entire Yahoo! account. This means that it is valid not only for Yahoo! Mail, but also for Yahoo! Messenger, the Yahoo! Music Engine, My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Finance, etc. and all of Yahoo!'s other personalized services. If someone breaks into any of these accounts, you'll want to change your password or you may just need to change it.Here's how to change your password from Yahoo! Mail:
1.Login to your Yahoo! Mail account using your current username and password [Click Here]. Below are the Yahoo! mail Login boxes below with illustrations.

Type in your username and password into the boxes and click Sign In.

Once you are logged in, locate and click your username on the top-left corner of the page eg. Click "Hi Mike....." Now, from the drop-down menu that appears, select Account Info.

A new browser/tab/window will appears asking you to verify your password.

Type your password into the box and click Sign In. The Account Information page appears. Now on the Account Information page, locate "Change Your Password".

Type in your old/current password and your new password twice in the respective boxes provided and click "Save", then "Continue" on the next page.

That's all, your Yahoo Password has been changed.

Note: Options and User Interfaces menus might change as per Yahoo!'s updates. Will keep you updated time and again.
Good Luck.

Using Gmail as your Universal Inbox

Nowadays most people have more than one email account. If one of yours is a Gmail account, you can use it as your primary inbox to check all your POP3 accounts in your Gmail browser window. But do remember that you can check only other POP3 accounts only. You won’t be able to check Yahoo mail, Windows Live Hotmail, or other such web mail accounts. Also, not all POP3 servers work with Gmail.
Here is what you need to do. Open your Gmail account and click Settings-Accounts. In the ‘Get mail from other accounts‘ section, click Add another mail account. Enter the email address of the account you want to add, and click Next Step.
Enter your username, password and POP3 server. If you want to continue to access the account through a mail client or through the ISP’s own Web interface, in addition to picking up and sending mail in your Gmail account, check Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server. This allows you to read the mail in Gmail, but the mail will remain on the ISP’s server so that you can download it with your standard mail program or read it through the account’s own Web interface. On the other hand, if you plan on accessing the mail for the address only through your Gmail account, you can leave the box unchecked.
Next, check Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail to keep mail snoops at bay. In some instances a POP3 account may not work with an SSL connection: if that is the case, you will have to leave this box unchecked.
If you want all of your incoming messages from the account to carry a label, such as the name of the account, select Label incoming messages. In Gmail, a label works much as a folder does. You can view all mail that carries the same label by clicking the label. Gmail automatically creates a label for the address of the new account. You can select a different label or create a new one by choosing the appropriate entry from the drop-down list. Another option is to have messages bypass your inbox and go straight to your Gmail archive. This would be a good choice if you want to use Gmail primarily for searching through mail. When you’ve made all your selections, click Add Account.
You can compose mail in Gmail and have it appear to the recipient as if it were from the account you just added. When a message appears asking whether you want to create a custom From address, click Yes and follow the instructions.
Gmail will check your account, and any mail sent to either address will appear in your Gmail inbox. To stop Gmail from checking the mail, click Settings-Accounts and choose delete next to the account.

Yahoo email access

One of the drawbacks of free email services is that they're easy to forget you have an account. Yahoo! Mail is just one of those free email services.

Say a few months go by, you've turned your attentions elsewhere, but you remembered you have a Yahoo! account and you want to check your email.

But after you log in, it informs you that your Yahoo! Mail is no longer active. What do you do?

Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account as usual.
A message will appear that says your account has been deactivated due to inactivity.

Reactivate your Yahoo! Mail by clicking on the "Reactivate Your Yahoo! Mail address" link that is located at the bottom of the page.

Sign into your account at least once a month to avoid automatic deactivation by Yahoo! in the future.

Want to close my yahoo mail and account, delete all mail

When you no longer need your Yahoo account, you may decide to delete the account so you will stop receiving Yahoo email and your personal information will be deleted from the website. Closing your account deletes your membership at all other Yahoo services as well, including Flickr, Monster, Yahoo Groups and Finance Portfolio. If you are sure you want to cancel your email and delete your Yahoo account, you can do so by visiting the account deletion page.

Open your Web browser and navigate to the account-deletion page on the Yahoo website. Log in with your username and password. Verify that the user ID at the top of the page is correct and review the information on the page below, which explains how to end certain paid services, such as subscriptions, the various services that will end when you delete your Yahoo account, and the terms governing your account deletion. Confirm your identity by entering your password once more in the blank field below "Are you sure you want to terminate your Yahoo! Account?" Type the security code displayed in the generated box to verify that you are human and wish to delete your account. Click "Terminate this account."

How do I delete a yahoo Email account?

If you want to close your Yahoo! account, you can follow the steps on the Account Termination page.
You will be asked to sign in or to verify the password for the account you want to delete.
Note: Before deleting your account, please read the instructions on the Account Termination page carefully, as important information about your account is included. You can then confirm the deletion of your account.
  • Please complete the deletion process only if you are certain you want to remove your entire Yahoo! account and any features you have personalized within the account. After you delete your Yahoo! account, you can't reactivate it, although you can always sign up for a new account.
  • When you close your account, you lose access to your Yahoo! ID, Yahoo! Mail, and profile names. We will delete your account data and settings across the Yahoo! network. This means you will lose all of your content in:

    Yahoo! Mail

    Yahoo! Address Book

    My Yahoo!

    Yahoo! Groups

    Finance Portfolio

Any other area of Yahoo! that can only be accessed with your Yahoo! ID and password
  • Deleting your Yahoo! account does not alter or delete your Yahoo! People Search listing. You must edit or delete this separately.
  • If you are subscribed to any premium services, we recommend that you cancel them before you delete your account. There is no guarantee that deleting your Yahoo! account will immediately cancel the billing for any premium services you are subscribed to. To cancel your current subscriptions, visit Yahoo! Billing Information for your account, click My Services, and then click the Cancel link for each subscription.
