Hi there! I'm assuming you're able to enter the password so that the unit comes up...Go into the menu selection called "Initial Settings". Choose the option called "Security Lock" and pick the "off" menu item. Exit out of the menu and power down the projector. Re-start the projector and it should have no password activation. If you need the user manual, let me know...Hope I assisted you successfully!--Rick

When i switch the projector on it switches on for a few seconds then the green power switch flashes and the lamp switches off

Try cleaning the filter or replacing the lamp (does the lamp look dark any place or have a bulge?) if it's neither of these, it may be replacement time.

REMAINING LAMP HOURS

Press MENU on the remote (with the projector running of course).
In the window that comes up on screen, there are a series of icons on the left side of the screen, and the currently selected one will be highlighted (yellow if memory serves me correctly) scroll down through the icons to the very last one - the Information icon.
Press ENTER
The Lamp Timer (lamp hours) will now be showing on the screen, below technical info about the current signal feeding the projector. The 'Lamp Timer' information is at about the centre of the screen :o)
