Hi l have a problem at the moment my netgear works but need to no if mine has a password on it have to install another laptop can you let me no thanks. can you let me no dont no if the technicion has put...

If you need the password to access the router's interface, by default the username is admin and the password is password.

If you need the password to your wireless network, you will need to access it's interface, using a computer already connected (wireless or by ethernet) to the router.
In your web browser, type the address http://192.168.1.1 and enter the username and password above to access the router's interface. If the address is not valid, try http://192.168.0.1

Once in the interface, click on "wireless settings" in the menu on the left. There, you should see the type of security used by the router and the password (or key) should be clearly visible at the bottom of the page,

I want to conect my iphone to my router but i dont have the password

If you are not administration the router than you have to ask your network admin for the password. Else open your browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the add bar and hit enter. System will ask you to type in the user name and password to access the web interface. So username and password are "admin" by default. Once you have entered the username and the password, you will see the web interface. Select "Wireless" option and then selece "Wireless Security" and then you will see the password.

Reset password

What password are you referring to; Wireless Security or Web password to access the Router's interface?

If it's the 2nd; Open http://192.168.0.1 (default IP) on your web browser, type username: admin and Password: password. Click on Password then change the default password.

If it's the 1st; Open http://192.168.0.1 (default IP) on your web browser, type username: admin and Password: password (put you correct password if you change the default password).. Click Wireless on the left, Enable Encryption WEP or WPA; for WEP 64 bit you will have to use 10 HEX, meaning 0-9, A-F (e.g. common is phone number). If WPA; password can be set from 8-64 characters long.

How do I put a password on my Belkin wireless G plus mimo router?

it depends on what you specifically want to password-protect: a. protecting the network from unauthorized users? b. protecting the network's admin interface?
for a. - log into your network's admin interface (usually http://192.168.0.1) - go to the category of wireless security - select the type of network protection you are looking for (strength - i.e. wep, wap, wpa2) and set your password following the steps listed within your router's admin interface...
for b. - log into your network's admin interface (usually http://192.168.0.1) - if you have never done this before, then your username should be filled in as Admin and leave password blank and hit enter.... from there, you are able to change or at least add a password to the interface from unauthorized access (usually under category security)

Sitecom WL-330 range extender with dlink dir-615- unable to use

I am guessing you have XP or vista. here are the instructions for both.
XP 1. Click ‘Start’ button (it should be located at lower-left corner of your computer), then click control panel. Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections icon, double click Local Area Connection, and Local Area Connection Properties window will appear. Select ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)’, then click ‘Properties’ 2. Select ‘Use the following IP address’, then input the following settings in respective field: IP address: 192.168.0.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Click ‘OK’ when finish.
Vista 1. Click the ‘Start’ button (it should be located at lower-left corner of your computer), then click control panel. Click View Network Status and Tasks, then click Manage Network Connections. Right-click Local Area Network, then select ‘Properties’. The Local Area Connection Properties window will appear, select ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4)’, and then click ‘Properties’ 2. Select ‘Use the following IP address’, then input the following settings in respective field: IP address: 192.168.0.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Click ‘OK’ when finish.
Next step for both All functions and settings of this access point must be configured via the web management interface. Please start your web browser, and input ‘192.168.0.234’ in the address bar, and press the ‘Enter’ key. Press the ‘OK’ button to see the web management interface of this access point: NOTE: If you can’t see the web management interface, and you’re being prompted to input user name and password again, it means you didn’t input username and password correctly. Please retype user name and password again. After you connected to the access point by web browser, the first thing you see is ‘Status and Information’ page. All system and network related information of this access point will be displayed here. The information is very helpful when you want to know the detailed information of your access point, and when you try to fix the communication problem between this access point and other wired / wireless computer / devices. You can click ‘Home’ on the left, This access point can be operated in different modes; you can click ‘Basic Setting’ to select an operating mode you want to meet for different needs: You can click ‘Mode’ dropdown menu to select operating mode, and there are 3 operating modes available: AP Access point mode, allows wireless clients to connect to access point and exchange data with the devices connected to the wired network. Station- Infrastructure Enable the Ethernet device such us TV and Game player connected to the access point to a wireless client. Universal Repeater This product can act as a wireless range extender that will help you to extend the networking wirelessly. The access point can act as Station and AP at the same time. We purchased a business that has a wireless G router that isn't secure. How can we secure it?

You have to access it via it's web interface and simply change the WEP or WAP security settings. You will need the IP address to access the web interface, i.e http://192.168.0.1, but substitue with the IP of your router. Then it may ask you to login with username and password. If you don't know it, then try admin as your username and password as your password. If this doesn't work you need to contact the previous owner for the info. If this isn't possible, your next step is to do a hard reset which will wipe the existing settings and put you back to orignal settings. It's best if you have the utility disk that comes with the access point. If not, you can reply with the exact "make and model" and I can look up the default settings and instructions and try to walk you through it. BEST bet, though, is to obtain the username/password and IP from previous user and go from there. Let me know.

D-Link DI 524 behind VNC access remotely - Need help....

Open a browser and type in htp://192.168.0.1 to access your router's web management interface. Enter the username and password (default is username admin and no password)
Go to the Advanced Tab and Virtual Server
Name=VNC
Private IP=IP Address of your Home notebook
Protocol Type=TCP
Private Port=5800
Public Port=5800
Set Schedule as you like
Enable the rule and click Apply.

To access you Home notebook from anywhere other than your house, go to http://10.0.57.46:5800

Next - remote management of the router.
The IP address that you enter on the remote management page is the IP address that is allowed to connect to the remote management. If the 194.145.183.83 is the IP address of your office, this should work. Be sure you apply a password or anyone going to http://10.0.57.46 will have access to you router, I also recommend changing the port from 80 to 8080 so that http://10.0.57.46:8080 has to be typed to access the remote management interface.
