Question about Epson DFX-9000 Matrix Printer

I hv an epson 9000 dfx printer (high speed printer). i am hving the following problems. 1. it shakes a lot while printing. 2. while in the middle of a print job, the printer suddenly stops. the status changes from 'printing' to 'error-printing'. on restarting the printer , the print starts again from 1, instead of resuming from the point last printed.... say 41st or 42nd page. cd u pls help? a lot of time, stationery and effort is wasted.

the SP motor brake signal didn't switch on within 3 seconds after turning printer on.

check for disconnected SP motor-related connectors. the printer needs servicing.

The motor (+42 V) or head drive (+37 V) voltage fell below the
allowable level.

This error indicates a power output problem, or a voltage detection circuit failure.

Check and replace the following in the order below, checking

DFX-9000 printing 2 Journals on 1 page instead of 1 per page


Have you tried to check the print settings?
Click on Start>Control Panel>Printers(Printers and faxes)> Right Click on the DFX-9000 printer icon>left click on properties>click the printing preferences button located below the properties box. In this window you should see the setting of the printer itself.

Re dfx -9000


Please perform the following steps to ensure your printer is physically functioning.

1. Turn the printer off and disconnect the interface cable.
2. Load plain, single part tractor paper into the printer.
3. Press the LOAD/EJECT button while turning on the printer.

NOTE: The self test prints over several pages. After the first or second page has printed, press PAUSE and turn the printer off.

If this self test prints correctly, then the printer hardware is functioning correctly.

>Try printing from other applications.
>Check cables as they can cause communication errors.
>Re-install the driver.
>Go to support.epson.com for more information & documentation.

This error OE is linked with the Print Head Driver.
2 solution:
1- Check the print head cables (continuity, shortcircuit, connection etc..
2- Print head Driver on the Main Board is out of order > Change the Main Board.
