Question about Bosch SHU3306UC Built-in Dishwasher

When the dishwasher cycle is complete there is a thick, cloudy film

Every time we run the dishwasher, the dishes come out with a cloudy film which is especially visible on the glasses. I cleaned out the arms and it did not seem to affect it. We also use Jet-Dry to try and reduce the problem, but nothing seems to be working. The dishwasher is about 6 years old and it has had no other problems, has anyone esle had this problem and found a solution?

Www.dishwasherfilter.com has a great new product out that filters the water going into your dishwasher. it reduces minerals that cause that white build up or residue. it goes under the sink and doesnt take up much room at all. my dishes looked terrible until i put this filter in. it is very affordable and works great.

Jcb...It may be that your detergent is not the right one for the job, you're using an amount that is too much or too little or your water isn't hot enough. Water should be at least 125 degrees. If you don't have an turkey/candy thermometer, run the hot water and put your hand under it...carefully. If you can hold it there...not hot enough.

You might also see if there are filter screens in your unit. Clean them.

Cloudy film left on all dishes and glasses. How do I remove the film?

Buy a gallon of white vinegar and rewash your dishes this time add 1/4 of a gallon of vinegar in the water with no soap just vinegar and water.... Also check and see if the dishwasher is completely draining you may have another problem that the dishwasher is not completely draining and you are washing with dirty water...... check the screen in the bottom of the dishwasher and the spray arm to see if they are clean and open...... I have used vinegar in my dishwasher and it has taken the cloudy film off... You may have to add it a couple of more times if you have a real bad build up......
I also use cascade complete dishwashing soap and has helped the problem with the cloudy film.

Dishwasher seems to run for a very long time on normal cycle. It leaves a whitish residue on dishes and the glasses appear cloudy. I do use a rinse agent.

I get a film on the inside of dishwasher as well as dishes at the end of a cycle. You can really see the cloudy film on glasses. Dishwasher is only 18 months old.

Cloudy film is usually from hard water. Or it means the dishes arn't drying properly. you wanna make sure your using jet dry and that your not using liquid soap. Liquid soap is a killer of dishwashers and creates mineral deposits. If you have hard water getting a water softener helps too. Theres a cleaning agent called dishwasher magic that works to clean the dishwasher . You wanna make sure your heater is coming on too.

Glassware is cloudy

The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com. They have a new product out that solves this problem once and for all. It filters the water entering your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that cause these spots. Very affordable and guaranteed to leave your dishes looking amazing every time.

check your screen or strainer in the bottom of the unit it is what filters the water to the pump if it has some trash in it or is plugged it will reuse the old water to rinse the dishes

Dishes have cloudy film on them

Try this. I want you to run your dishwasher empty, on the hottest water setting. Let it fill and just before it starts the wash cycle put in three cups of white vinegar. I expect your jets are clogged and the vinegar should hopefully open the jets back up. You don't need to add soap during this cleaning process. Works just like when you clean your coffee maker.

My dishes are coming out with a thick cloudy film

Most dishwasher detergents now have some sort of rinse agent already in them. If this is the case don't add it to your dispenser once it runs out. Too much rinse agent can cause clouding.
