My screen was broken off of my V3m by a crazy ex of mine. I would like to know the steps and parts needed to replace the screen. I am pretty handy with doing replacments on desktops, laptop, severs, etc. As I am a network tech, however I'm not sure on what goes into this project. I know it has to be cheaper than buying a new phone since the LCD's are undamaged.

You could visit your local Apple Store. To repair the screen runs around $149 dollars and takes around half an hour. They will also probably offer to replace the entire phone or around $229 dollars. Had a co-worker with the same issue last week and the above is what happened to him. Hope that helps!
It seems like a damaged chip possibly rusted or if you didn't take out the battery, severe damage to the whole phone. You might be able to get it repaired for less instead of replaced. I am not sure if you can buy new parts, but you can probably find a new one on ebay with a broken screen or something like that, and use parts from both to make a new phone(Did the same with 3 broken PSP consoles) I hope this helps. If you have a hard time with the second option, you can find guides for disassembly and reassembly online.
My razor broke about 1/2 year ago and im with verizon and they said their not making them anymore.. so i got a newer razor... I experienced the same problems and they got fixed when i got a new phone for free..
I have seen lots of LCD Screens cracked or broken on an LG Shine. A replacement screen can be bought for around $20 from Ebay. And the process of replacing it yourself if rather simple. All you need are a small philips screwdriver and a plastic tab (guitar pick) or a fingernail.
Here are two links that will help you out. The first is a guide that will show you step by step how it's done. And the second is a good link for buying replacement LCD Screens to replace your broken one.
