Question about Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera
Unfortunately there is no way of fixing the issue short of replacing the parts that were damaged by water. The service is available, so all hope is not lost!! However, I must warn you that the replacement of the main board (which is most likely what is causing your camera to not power on) may not fix your camera completely as you do not know how far the liquid damage has gone.
There could be other issues such as lens damage, water spots inside the lens, etc. My suggestion would be to have that main board replaced and go from there. If you're comfortable doing it yourself, I strongly advise you to open the camera and try to determine how far the corrosion (it will look like lime build-up basically) from the water stretches before you make any decisions on whether to have the main board replaced or not.
