Re: No authority

So far what I've figured out is that wherever you are downloading the songs from they are copywritten and they are downloading in a format that is not compatable with these devices. The trick is to download from a site that is nextar compatable..

MP3 players are used to listen to music, similar to the old portable "Walkman" products of the 1980's. You can load your MP3 format music onto the player through a cable connected between the player and the computer. You can get this music by downloading it from various places on the internet for a price (such as, itunes, etc.) You can also copy music from your music CD collection onto your computer, and then from the computer to your MP3 player.

Some digital media players have the ability to play complete videos! These are called MP4 files. Some of these devices are also able to listen to the radio, or record your speaking voice like a hand-held recorder.

Sometimes it is necessary to convert your music if it is not in the MP3 format (for example: .wav file {wave file}). There are free programs available to do that for you, such as Format Factory which is a completely free download.

Songs from CDs won't play

This is an easy fix. Most Mp3 players, the Aqua Mp3 player included, need to have the files in an mp3 format - not the CD format.

Simply convert your CD to Mp3 files on your computer using a software like Media Monkey (which has a free version). Once they are converted, then you can simply drag and drop them on to your Aqua Waterproof Mp3 player.

If you're using a Mac, then you can use iTunes to import the CD and then convert the files to mp3 within iTunes.

I hope this helps you get in the water and swimming to music soon.

My mp3 player doesn't player

If you are using the Sony Sonic Stage software, then it might be
a good idea to just format the MP3 player and start over downloading music to it. You have to use the Sony Sonic Stage software or else it gives you the NO DATA BASE error, even if
you have music on it.

Cant play songs off my playlist

You can thank Microsoft for creating Digital Rights Management.

Okay...I'm assuming this is an MP3 that you loaded using the Rhapsody-to-go or other music service that allows for subscription music.

What the MP3 player is telling you is that because you have subscription music and not purchased music, the DRM allows you to only play the song or songs 30-90 days after download. To continue to listen to the songs, you will need to open your Media Manager software (Best Buy Digital Music Service, Rhapsody, WMP11, Media Monkey, etc) connect your MP3 player to the PC, identify the MP3 player through the media manager and tell it to re-authorize your tracks. Once its finished you'll be able to play your songs for another 30-90 days. You will need to repeat this re-authorizing to continue to play the tracks.

If your using XP, go to the Windows Media Player and load the CD. You will see a Sync Icon. When you click on it will run and then give you a sync complete. Plug in your Sansa to the usb port and load from the Windows Media Player.
