The tool stopped turning...motor turns but chuck and tool freewheel

usually there is a coupling to connect the 2 parts I would think that it has cracked. If you have the brand and model number get back to me and I will try and find the part number for you or you can go to their website and look it up.

I can't get the small sanding disc out of the tool.

Undo the chuck nut and then knock the spindle shaft of the sanding disc in lightly. This should release the collet's grip on the shaft. If the shaft has been pushed all the way into the chuck, remove the collets and nut and try separate the collet segments to release it from the shaft.

I bought a cordless rotary tool Model No 572.610780 and I cann't get the collet nut to loosen so that I can put an accessory on it.

Did you engage the chuck lock? This is usually a button that you press gently as you turn the chuck and the pin on the bottom of the button drops down to lock the chuck. Then you hold the body and turn the check anti-clockwise when viewed from the jaws.

Best to read the instructions before you start playing. :>)

Don't know how to get the various attachments on and off the tool

it is a chuck...of sorts. There should be a button to lock the shaft and then you can use the wrench it came with to loosen it.

I have a rotary tool single speed chuck does not

Common issue with these, the plastic flex coupling is broken-

Disassembly on my model involved the following:
Remove the four Torx screws on the body, then unscrew the front end cap at the front of the tool to expose two more screws. Separate the two halves of the body to see the brittle and broken yellow coupling.
Replace with the new white coupling and reassemble. Buy spare couplings as they don't seem to last all that long.

I have a Dremel Single Speed Model 275 that belonged to my Dad. It suddenly won't turn on the end even though the motor is running at full speed. When I take my fingers and twist the end, it starts to turn...

The Dremel 275 (and other series) have a plastic coupler and spline that connect the motor shaft to the collet shaft (where the tools attach). The plastic fatigues and disintegrates, causing the collet shaft to stop, even if the motor is still running. The fix is about $5.00 --- two parts from Dremel. The 275 case is a **** shell that opens with the removal of six T-10 Torx screws.

I would go direct to or call them at 1-800-437-3635 and get the schematic and parts you need, I just checked and they have a parts diagram online that you can view. go to the section about manuals/literature and type in your model number. Good luck
