Question about Whirlpool LGB6000KQ Gas Dryer
I have a Whirlpool LGB6000KQ1 Gas Dryer. It starts to heat for about 2 minutes then heat turns off. Lint trap and exhaust 100% clear. I believe it could be 1 of 3 parts:
1. (3387134)Thermostat, Internal-Bias
2. (3403140)Thermostat, 205 degree
3. (280010) Kit, Thermal Cut-Off
Hello, Unfortunatly your wrong on all 3 counts sorry :) This problem is going to be your safety valve coils...basically they get old and over time of heating then cooling develop a short when they heat up...It may appear the gas lights to start but then goes out until the safety valve coils cool back down. Here is a picture of the coils This The coils are mounted to the gas safty valve, This should solve your problem. Hope this helps, Please feel free to comment again if you have any further questions or concerns. Good Luck! Mike
