Question about RTO Atwood Water Heater - 6 Gal LP
When the electronic ignition tries to lite the gas water heater, we hear a clicking 3-5 times, then the gas goes POOF and it lites. What can we do to fix the POOFin' that happens.. Would it be adjusting the air shutter or is it a problem with the circuit board?
GCH6ABE Atwood 6 gallon water heater
Gas burners go "poof" when they have too much gas in the area upon lighting. This is normally due to the ignition source not being close enough to the initial source of gas. This is normaally corrected by ensure the main burner is clean so that it distributes the gas correctly and having the ignition source at proper strength and location. I would have to have good schematics of your heater to be more specific. I hope this helps.
