The filter is probably full of fluff. Remove it and vacuum it or brush it clean with a soft brush or broom.

Use the narrow attachment on your vacuum. Vacuum the area under the filter harness in the dryer. Also, remove the dryer lent exhaust on the back of the dryer. Vacuum the exhaust tubing and reach into the back of the dryer and vacuum as much debris as you can from the tubing leading from the filter to the lower exhaust. A small screw on the pipe exiting the dryer will allow you greater access to remove debris. :)

LG DLE2512W dryer approx 3 years old error message to "check filter". Dryer has stopped working. What is the problem? Do you have a schematic of the dryer I can download?

I just had this problem with my 5 year old today. I unplugged it (after checking the line and the regular filter to make sure that they were clear). since there didn't appear to be a real problem. It works fine now. It wasn't having any problems before the light started flashing and it doesn't appear to be having any now. Hope this helps

My Lg DLE2512W dryer works but the lights dont come on

Unfortunatley this will probably mean a new board. The lights power is fed thru the board and the chances of everyone of those little buggers blowing at the same time is very, very, small. Sorry, hope this can help.

LG DLE2512W Dryer says chech filter, starts, heats and turns but makes loud noise. Maybe something stuck? A sock?

Drying drum is not on its host. Lay down the dryer and then bolt it after aligning it.

The "check filter" light comes on just when I start the drying cycle the light goes away but the "Cooling" light comes on and stays on throughout the drying cycle, clothes stay damp thus a second drying cycle. Due to this annoying problem with my LGDLE2512W my laundry time has doubled, taking over 3 hours and a high gas bill just for a medium size load of laundry....

Filter?

The 'check filter' is just a reminder. It is on when you turn the unit on, and at the end of the cycle.
The blinking lights, every 1/2 second is not, it is an error code. It is telling you that there is a problem with the door switch (light switch). It could be a loose wire or maybe the door is not shutting properly. Unplug the unit, take off the lid and check the connection. Replace if necessary.
