This fault is usually a disk controller problem/fault or the hard drive is not making proper connection or most likely the hard drive is faulty.
Try reseating the hard drive first.
If this doesn't work, check the BIOS to see if it detects the hard drive.
If the BIOS cannot detect the hard drive then remove the hard drive and connect it to an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a working computer's USB port. If this computer cannot see it as an external hard drive and cannot open the folders and files, then the hard drive is confirmed faulty.
Install a new hard drive and install Windows on this drive together with the device drivers and programs to get a working laptop again.
