Question about Creative Labs ZEN Vision:M Digital Media Player

1 Answer

Library. Ok, this has been happening for a while. Every time i turn on my player, after it being off for an extended period of time, it goes to the reload screen. But the problem is, that it only loads half of my library. I had around 3600 songs on the player, but it only loads about 1600 of them. What should i do? Do i have to redo the library, because i cant get all those songs back. Please help? I love my player, and i miss it. =P Thanks -Dezi

Dead battery

Leave it plugged into your computer for an extended period of time. It will turn on eventually.

Sounds like a hardware issue, do you have warranty on the player?

Cant find intructions?

To turn on the player
Press the >|| (center round button) button to turn on the player. The player resumes the operation from the point where you last turned off.

If “HOLD” appears in the display, slide the HOLD switch in the opposite direction of the arrow (--->) to release the HOLD function.

To turn off the player
Press and hold the >|| (center round button) button to turn off the player. “POWER OFF” appears.

If there is no operation for a certain period of time while in stop mode, the display turns off automatically to save the battery power. If there is no operation for an extended period, the player turns off completely. The batteries are consumed a little in this status.

You cannot operate the player when it is connected to a computer. Disconnect the player before operating the player.

Ipod not charging

Does it turn on when it is plugged in? If may be a bad battery. Sometimes when a LiOn battery goes completely dead and is left for an extended period of time, it will not accept charge. If it is under warranty, contact Apple support and have the battery replaced.

Stuck on "re-building library"

I decided to open it up to check out the hard drive to see what kind I would need so I could try replacing it. The data plug that attaches to the hard drive itself was partially unplugged. So, I pushed it back in all the way, put it all back together again, and turned it on just to see if something different might happen. (I had it set in my mind that the hard drive failed and I would need a new one, so I didn't expect anything different to happen) And to my surprise, it worked just like new again.

Before you go off and invest in a new hard drive, I suggest opening it up and make sure that plug is in all the way. Since you'll be opening it up in any case, it wouldn't hurt.

Rebuilding Library to Firmware Problem error...HELP

try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?
