Samsung Ice Maker on Mdl RB215LASH

Ice Maker was turned off for about 8 weeks and was working when we turned off. Turned back on and ice tray has not filled , checked water supply input into their pipe and water is their. how do I trouble this problem I have a Mdl RB2155BB and left the icemaker off for about 6 weeks.  The solution to press the restart button caused the tray to dump, but did not refill.  My refrig has a special water supply tube (you can recognize it by the braided stainless steel looking exterior)  that has an automatic shutoff if there is a leak.  I reset this tube by disconnecting it from the valve and then reconnecting it.  Tried another ice maker reset and got water plus several pieces of ice. One more reset and all was fine. It seems that for this model Samsung, I would not recommend shutting the ice maker off for more than 3 weeks.

Icemaker is not working. I checked the water line, it is okay. I pushed the reset button and the ice tray turned as to empty. I waited all day, but no ice was made. Push the reset button again, waited about two hours, nothing happened. Water is getting up to the icemaker, but water is not filling the tray. I'm going to buy a new line filter to see if that may cause it to work.

It is quite possible the water line near the ice-maker is frozen. I would try a warm hair drier to thaw it out.

Water not getting to icemaker

This may be a temperature sensor problem on the ice maker. Check for broken wires or sensor fallen off.

Hello, I have an Samsung rs2533sw. the ice maker stopped working. it is at 8 degree. at this juncture, the manual reset switch does not work. if I let it unthaw then it works. once it gets cold it doesn't...

Hey heads up! The ice-cube maker has two parts... In fancy terms the business motor end, and the back-stop. Your back-stop is all busted. Mostly because it's been used successfully as a backstop for a few thousand times. The piece costs about $20, and you can get it at any Samsung parts distributor. The best way to check this is that your ice-cube tray will look like it's coming un-hinged in the back when it attempts to empty the ice.

When it works properly the ice-cube tray is actually contorted about 45 degrees from the front end to the back. The same way an adult male would crush ice.

Samsung ice maker tray won't reset

I had the same problem and would "temporarily" fix it by opening the front plastic cover (remove the 4 screws) and CAREFULLY remove the front - sometimes all the plastic gears will fly off but you can get them back because they only fit one way. Once the gears are off, you can reset the tray back to its fill position. Fit the gears back into place. Replace the front cover and it worked like a champ for a couple of weeks when I'd have to do it all over again. I finally got tired of it and ordered a new unit through ebay. Easy to replace BUT now the water won't come on to fill the tray!!!! UGH Hope this helps

Ice maker stopped working. Turned it off as there's no way I need a bin full off ice. I also don't use a lot of ice. Ice was "getting old" so I dumped it, cleaned the bin, turned the button on and nothing....

The freezer temp needs to be around 0 degrees for that "something" to click to tell it to dump and make more ice. Check the freezer temp and adjust if needed. If a thermometer says it's cold enough you may need that warranty you mentioned.
