MacBook Pro gives "BSD process name corresponding to current thread: unkown s on stack" message and starts beeping 3 times in succession. Tried booting from CD; it ate CD and won't eject. Continue to get register keys and the above message.

Haven't added memory. Discovered startup problem after leaving MacBook on, leaving for work, came back home, and computer was off. When starting up, experienced this strange startup behavior. With those symptoms, could it still be related to memory getting unseated?

Have you added memory to your computer recently ? you need to remove the ram and reseat it. if that does not work remove the ram and swap the slots for each stick.

i would reseat the memory as that appears to be an issue (3 beeps). there is a slight chance the memory has failed. have you added or removed any programs recently ?

Macbook pro won't turn on

have you tried using a restore point? or resetting it to factory settings, although I wouldn't do that until you are left with no other options....You can try to call the company and see if they can walk you thru fixing it.

What I did to connect to BOSE wireless speaker to my MacBook air was go in advance settings and uncheck all three options there and then press the wireless button until it beeped--> then I was able to pair it to my laptop. Success!

We don't know how to retrieve out messages from outside the house.

To play back messages remotely, first you'll need to have set up your two-digit security code (PIN). You can download a copy of the manual here which gives all the details. Once you've done that, here's how to use the system:

1) Call your telephone number and wait for the system to answer. If the answering system is off, it will answer after about 10 rings and sounds a series of beeps.
2) During the greeting message (or a series of beeps when the answering system is off), press 0 and enter your PIN code within 2 seconds. The answering system announces the current time and the number of messages stored in memory. You hear "To play incoming messages, press zero-two. For help, press one-zero." You will hear a beep.
3) Enter a command within 15 seconds. Each command thereafter must be entered within 2 seconds. These are the available commands:
  • 0 then 1 Repeat a Message*
  • 0 then 2 Playing incoming Messages
  • 0 then 3 Skipping a Message
  • 0 then 4 Deleting a Message
  • 0 then 5 Stop Operation
  • 0 then 6 Answering System On
  • 0 then 7 Memo Record/Stop**
  • 0 then 8 Greeting Message Record/Stop**
  • 0 then 9 Answer System Off
  • 1 then 0 Help
* For the Repeat a Message function, press 0 then 1 within about four seconds to repeat the previous message, or press 0 then 1 after about four seconds to repeat the current message.

**For the Memo Record and Greeting Message Record function, the first time you enter the corresponding command, it starts the Recording function. If you want to stop the recording, press 0 then 7, 8 or 5.

4) After the command has finished, you hear intermittent beeps indicating that the system is in the command waiting mode. You may enter another command at this time from the chart above.
5) Hang up when you're done.

1.Log into router. Using either 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 in a browser window that is ( internet Explorer or Firefox)
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off) ( router status window)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address. This set up in the "security tab" in the router. using 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to access through a browser.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop/desktop/MAC about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.
8. check for firmware update at the manufacturers site for your model router
9. cell phones, cordless phones, digital TV's, can affect the data signal from a router. Also distance from the router can be a factor. If your router is in a basement place the router to a upper floor and center it in the room.

You can find updated drivers and the manuals for your printer here:

I suggest you remove the current drive , download and install a new driver for your Macbook Pro to see if this makes a difference.

If necessary the website has an extrensive Troubleshooting section that may be of assistance.
