Question about Casio Exilim EX-Z57 Digital Camera

Open Question

The same problem

I am so upset with CAsio... in the official page they ask to format the internal memory. It hasnt solved anything here.
While I was formatting for the 100th time, I decided to pick off the battery, so then I had an (internal) card error. The thing is. EVEN with the internal card error, the cam would turn on and ask for me to set up language and time. The card error was then solved when I pressed menu and asked to again format the card.
But I still have the problem and it is now proved that formatting the internal memory has NOTHING to do with this problem

I am still waiting for a solution. It is the 3rd Casio that I have, and it will be the last one. I am really upset.

Even casio seem confused by this question! It seems that the camera will loose it's settings if the battery is dead or the camera is not connected via USB. Even if the battery is charged it could loose the settings within 24hrs. You can get the manual below: http://world.casio.com/qv/download/en/manual/

SOURCE: Casio Exilim Z57 Date and Language set up

OK, here's the fix. This camera has internal flash memory that is used to store settings and can be used for limited picture storage. Its use for saving setting is essential, however. If this gets corrupted then the camera won't save settings. Whoever said to format the internal memory had the right idea.

After much experimentation here's how. Remove your SD memory from the camera and turn it on. This will force it to run on the internal memory only. Run through the time/date/location setup again. It will complain about the memory card. Ignore this and press menu. Under Setup, select format. Choose format memory card and do it. This will format the internal memory. Once it is done, turn the camera off and back on. You'll notice that the problem is gone and it has remembered your last setup.
BTW, my camera is a EX-Z75. Not sure there is a Z57 model.

How do I delete pictures from a coolpix S4000

To delete individual pictures: while viewing the picture, tap the trash can icon on the screen, then tap yes when it asks for confirmation.

To delete all pictures on a memory card: format the card. TAP MENU, tap the wrench icon, select "Format card."

To delete all pictures in internal memory: format internal memory. Tap MENU, tap the wrench icon, select "Format memory."

The delete instructions are in the "Deleting Pictures" section of the manual (page 33 in my copy). The format instructions are in the "Format Memory/Format Card" section of the manual (page 150). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at

Remove your memory card from your camera. There is a button on the side of the card. Slide it the opposite direction. PROBLEM SOLVED!

I need all data erased from internal memory i have tryed going to format memory to delete but it hasnt deleted anything

Do you have your card in? When the card is in the carmera, (most) all functions apply to the card.
To format the internal memory, just take the card out and try it again.

You can just format the camera. There are 2 instructions, formatting internal memory and the other is when a memory stick is installed.

Just follow pages 46 and 47 from this official guide from Sony - http://www.docs.sony.com/release/DSCS600.pdf

Hope this will help.

Wrong Manual Received for CASIO Pathfinder PAS 400B 2632

I was having the same problem, so I went to casio.com and looked for their manuals for watches. I ended up finding this page:

http://world.casio.com/wat/download/en/manual/

If you enter the number from the back case of the watch, (in this case, the PAS 400B is 2632) and it will allow you to download the manual from their archives in a pdf format.

Hope this helps!

Samsung s1050 says file error

Are you able to transfer the images to the computer? It looks like a memory stick problem.. If your camera has internal memory then pull out the memory stick and save images to internal memory.. If the pictures are alright then you have to replace the memory card.. Do not buy them on ebay. 60% of the times you get fake stuff over there..

Camera is blocking card

What does your camera do when you try to format the card? Casio only recommends using Sandisc, Toshiba and Panasonic memory cards. I dont believe that there is a firmware upgrade available for your camera that would fix what is going on. Try formatting your memory card first and hopefully that will make it able to save on your card instead of internal memory.

Does not read memory card

Casio only tested 3 cards with the camera. Sandisc, Toshiba, Panasonic. First: Format the internal memory of camera and then reset camera. In rec mode press menu go to setup tab go up to format press right arrow highlight format press set. Follow same steps for resetting. Then insert mem card and format mem card. If that still doesn't work I would say there is something wrong with the camera itself and would need to be sent in.
