Acording to the user manual there is an indicator light that Blinks and turns off when the power is on and lights up
in stand-by mode.

Samsung HL-T5076S Tv blows bulbs about once a month

You're definitely not having a lamp problem. It can be your ballast not providing your lamp with the correct amount of voltage. Lamps should last a minimum of 1 to 3 yrs. specially if you bought a Philips lamp.
Look into your ballast. Samsung has a history with this ballast.

My tv shows the message mode not supported to a new blue ray player

Make sure the Blu-Ray player is set for 720p or 1080i only as this TV will not recognize 1080p or even the 24fps mode that some Blu-Ray players have.

Our tv just went out. And the lights are flashing at the bottom

If this is a DLP (rear projection tv) then you have most likely blown the bulb in the tv that does the actual image that is projected onto the screen. If you turn off the tv or unplug it and turn it back on and still nothing then that would be my bet.

Try 069, 070.
Pick your Mode, then Hit the set button at the bottom, then type in the numbers and you should see the mode light up 4 times if done correctly. Hit power and see if it goes on. I think the Frequency changed though.
