Ice maker not working

I have a Kitchenaid KSCS25INWO1 a little over one year old of course!
Water comes out the door. I filled the ice maker manually and it produced and dispensed the ice but it will not fill by itself. I have replaced the filter and left it out to see if there is a plug.
Any suggestions?

I have checked all lines and even turned off to defrost for a day to see if the lines are frozen. No problem with lines? Besides I'm getting water in door dispenser. Same line isn't it?

Sounds like you have a frozen supply line within the icemaker. use a hair blow dryer to warm everything up and dry everything out. remove all of the old cubes and dry out everything.

then seal it all up again, and wait 24 full hours and u should have cubes once again.

HELLO,

There is probabley a breach in the pipe that channels water through to the ice maker, try to locate where exactly the water is coming from and this might be the breach...It should be not to big to tackle...:)

Ice maker in Kitchenaid KSCS25FT does not refill. Makes ice cubes when filled manually. How to fix?

When an ice maker produces ice after filling with tap water and then cycles and does not refill with water that is an indication that the=> 2319734 Dual Water Inlet Valve

is defective. Replacing the water valve should get you back into the ice making business. The 2319734 Dual Water Inlet Valve has two sides. One side is for the dispenser and the other side is for the ice maker. When one side goes bad you end up having to change the complete dual valve set. Kitchenaid Superba Ice Maker quit

If you add some water there, yourself. It should make some ice for you, untill the water runs out.

My icemaker has stopped receiving water

it sounds like your water valve is bad. you have a double water valve - one side operates the ice maker and the other side operates the water dispenser. the ice maker side of the valve is bad.

you can manually pour a little water in the ice maker ice mold and wait an hour or so - if it dumps the ice then you know for sure that the ice maker is cycling and water is not getting to the ice maker from the water valved

ICE MAKER QUIT MAKING ICE ON MY WHIRLPOOL FRIDGE

I had a Whirlpool Model GD5SHAXNS in which the icemaker quit working about the same time (3 years old). I had water out the dispenser, I found that it was the icemaker itself failed not calling for water to fill it. I replaced it with a icemaker on-line for about $100 and problem fixed. I have been told his is a common problem with the icemaker in this model ref.

Icemaker won't fill

its a tricky one to diag, this IDI{in door ice maker}. id be interested to see something in the ice maker head assy itself, under the right side bottom of the ice maker asssy is a 1/4in screw, holding a cover for the wire harness,if you remove the screw and the plastice cover it will allow you to slide the ice maker assy foward, youll need to depress a small plastic tab on the left side wall preventing the ice maker from coming out any more than an inch or so. After that the ice maker will twist out and by inserting a screwdriver into ice maker cover you be able to "pop" off the front white cover to reveal the inner workings. a problem with some of their modules is that the center white gear actually cracks off the module head itself, if thats the case when you open the cover, youll need to replace the ice maker assy

Kenmore Ice Maker

Sounds like a water valve problem to me. Force the ice maker to cycle. (turn it off and let it get cold for at least an hour then turn it back on). Test for voltage on the ice maker side of the valve. The valve is usually in the back near the floor. Just follow the water line. Another solution. switch the wires on the water valve. then try the water dispenser and see if it makes the ice maker fill up. See if when the ice maker cycles water comes out the door. If the ice maker causes water in the door , replace the valve, If door switch causes ice maker to fill up replace ice maker again.
