By front, I presume you DO NOT mean the top. In that case, either should be fine.

After placing my Haier 7 cu. ft. / 198 liter Chest Freezer HCM070LA in a horizontal or tilted position it doesn't want to freeze

If you have run it in a tilted position, the oil has migrated from the compressor to the evaporator. You need a technician to flush the oil back to the compressor. Only run equipment like this on a flat level surface. and always allow to stand a few hours after moving before switching on.

I moved my freezer on its side to clean and it wont get cold any more what do i do/

Fridges and freezers often don't like being started right after they have been moved/tipped, it's best to give them some time (a few hours) in the upright position to allow the refrigerant fluids to settle back where they're supposed to be before restarting.

Can I move this freezer on its side? Driving time is abot 2.5 hours.

Yes you can move the freezer on its side. Just make sure that when you get it to the new location to let it stand up for a min of 24 hrs before you plug it in.

Good luck and please rate 4 thumbs up for the free answer.

I moved my freezer and now will only stay cold for a short time, why?

You jard the liquids. Did you just move it a little or move like to another house because if you move a frig or freezer somewhere or lay on it's side you shouldn't plug in for an hour or more so it all settles or it won't work. Hope this helped

My chest freezer does not freeze over 80% of the case.it only freezes a small seccion of the upper part of the case.

This one sounds just like a refrigeration problem.
If the freon leaked out then it will definitely do this...
I would recommend to get a new freezer here's why.
if you call someone to put the freon back in it will cost you anywhere from $80 to $150. it will freeze and work good but eventually it will go back to the same problem because the tech did not fix it only put it back in... its just a matter of time then you have the same problem... save your money and move it to a new one...

hope this was helpful

Moving, CA to Florida and want ot load a chest freezer on its end

You could expect internal compressor oil to flow into areas which would restrict refrigerant flow, resulting in no cooling. If you have to ship on end, make sure the compressor end is down !

Chest freezer not getting cold after moving

IS the compressor running? If so u probably cracked a line and lost the refrigerant charge.

Chest freezer - hose adaptor?

That would depend on the size of the freezer. If it's a compact 5-7 cubic feet, then its not necessarily needed, but if it is a large freezer I would recommend buying the hose adapter. The basic function for the hose adapter is draining the water after defrosting the freezer.

So if it's a large freezer that will not be moved, then YES by all means, you need the adapter.
