Hope this helps you. Since you did not give a brand or any other info, my reply is also generic.

Some freezers have a heating element in the walls to keep frost from forming. It is an automatic defrost. The melted frost collects at a hole in the bottom and there is usually a large shallow pan that sits in an area just bellow the exit hole. the pan will allow the water to evaporate outside the freezer. If you don't have one, try to find something like a cookie sheet with sides that can be placed under there. the amount that comes out during the defrost cycle is nominal and will not overflow the cookie sheet, but it will sit on the floor without hindering any thing.

Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your refrigerator pdine.
Water inside the appliance means there is air coming inside of the unit or there is a water leak.
Do you have any idea where the water is coming from?
Your refrigerator do have ice maker or water dispenser?

This problem is impossible to advise without Model number and Brand. Model number can usually be accessed on a tag inside refrigerator compartment.

Feel free to contact me with the information at actionservices1@gmail.com and i'll be glad to help all I can.

At the back is a little channel with a hole in that drains to the outside of the fridge. Remove the drawers and shelf and blow through the hole with a drinking straw.

It has a clogged drain tube and bottom trays is already full.
De-clogged it using a solid wire, match enough to penetrate the drain tube.
Insert solid wire slowly to the drain tube, back and forth.
Put water to clean and rinse drain tube.
Regularly check drain tube for clogged and tray for full water.
Good luck.

Ice is forming in the bottom of the freezer compartment of my hotpoint FFM90 frost free fridge/ freezer. Please help. Many Thanks

Had exactly the same problem.
It was due to a blockage of the drain.
At the back of the freezer there is the pump and there is a small darin that lets condensation from inside the freezer spill onto the top of the (hot) pump to be evaporated. When this small drain blocks it causes issues like water leaking out of freezer and big chunks of ice at the back of the bottom compartment.
The fix is easy, if a little laborious.
Take all the stuff out of the freezer, then dismantle the internal plastic trip, don't worry, you can't really break anything and it goes back together easily, Eventually you will be left with just the bare metal insides and in the middle at the bottom back you will see the drain collection point, slightly hidden from view is the drain hole. Pour warm water onto this till it comes out onto the pump at the back.
Then use a pipe cleaner to clean.
Re-assemble - done :)

It takes weeks for ice to dissipate in a freezer.
You may can adjust your cut off lights or wire cut off to cut off before it's so full.

unplug it again , sounds like your drain line has frozen, instaead of defrost water going down the tube and under refrig in drain pan, becuse tube is frozen its draining into freezer compartment and eventually spilling out through front of unit. totally defrost unit and behind back wall of freezer youll see a metal trough designed to catch water, in the center (under the ice is gonna be the drain hole, pour boiling water down until it runs freely
