Most of the skil jigsaws have a plastic piece with a spring and catch behind it. Just push your blade into the tool and it should lock. When you want to remove it you need to press the plastic lock collar up and it will release the blade. Some of the earlier models weren't as easy to set the blade in and you have to press the lock collar up insert the blade and let the collar down around the blade to lock it.

How to changed wiper blade for 2007 Acura RL

There are only 3 types of blade, when you buy blades, you will also receive a installation manual, compare it with your wipe, see which type it is, and follow the instruction.
If you don't know how, go to autozone or O'Reilly, ask staff to help, they USUALLY are willing to help.

Northern Tool 10" compound miter saw. How do I change the blade?

remove the power cord from the socket in the wall first
if there is a small hole in the blade , place a phillips screw driver in that hole and turn until the driver is locked against the depth guard
use the correct size spanner /socket and undo the spindle nut holding the blade on
if there is no hole ,then place the screw driver in the teeth of the blade to lock it

the motor will spin so that the teeth cut against the direction of cut ( up into the guard or up through the depth guard ( blades normally have a arrow for rotation direction)
tighten the spindle nut and if no hole in the blade use a hammer and hit the spanner with a hard rap

I need an instruction manual for my delta shopmaster 10'' bench saw model number TS200LS. I know very little about table saws and need to change the blade and would like to install a dado blade.

you might try and type in your model number in the middle of the page under need manual and see if you can find it there if not let me know and I will try and find one for you.

Makita 4304T. jigsaw blade Do not know how to fasten it?

On the top of the Makita 4304T is a knob, (Top/Front)
This is the blade Installing Lever.

Viewing the jigsaw in the direction you would use it, the Installing Lever is turned towards the Right. Keeping it turned, you then install the jigsaw blade. Once you have the blade up in the Blade Holder, gently release the Installing Lever.

This is a PDF file of the Owners Manual for the Makita 4304T Jigsaw,
(From Makita - Products - Support)

Bosch 1587 AVS blade install problem

I bought this saw and then wasted some time looking for "SDS" blades (which my manual called for) until I discovered that a T-shank blade was what was required. As far as the blade change goes, I had to practice changing the blade a few times before I figured out an easy way to do it. It's not so much that the top knob has to be pulled up hard, but it must be raised approximatley 10mm or 3/8". This knob will then either loosen (counterclockwise rotation) or tighten (clockwise rotation) the blade retaining mechanism. A good indication for me when the know was high enough was when I could see numbers exposed on the inner portion of the top knob (the neck) and could also see (when I looked under the top knob) that the top knob was now engaging the "teeth" on the small white phenolic gear. It is this gear that actually loosens or tightens the blade. The blade will loosen once the knob is turned counterclockwise (3 times), but the backside (smooth side) of the blade must be pulled away from the guide wheel as it is rotated 90 degrees. To install a blade, you you simply reverse this process. An audible click will be heard when tightening, but I would certainly always double-check to make sure the blade is tight, before operation. I almost ran the jigsaw with a loose blade the first time I put a blade in the saw. I hope this helps...

It depends on the planer blade set that you are using. If you are using the the 2 sided blades there is a guage that goes with it to set the blade depth before installing. I would strongly recommend that you go to and type in your model number and download a copy of the owners manual for specific instructions. Let me know if you have any problems finding them

OK just looked at manual for the CHS6000 handisaw and there is a lever on the front that you need to press down on fully and insert the blade from the front and then release lever and it should lock. This tool from what I saw can take the T shank blades or standard ones. If you still have trouble I would go to and in the middle of the page towards the bottom you can type in your model number and either read the manual online or print out a copy. This manual is 34 pages long. Let me know if you still have problems.
