I have a rca d52w20 tv. I have read a number of solutions of my problem with the green light flashing but the tv wont come on. My question is, is a deflection board(258762) the same thing as a powerboard.

Most likely the CP150 CP120 and CP114 capacitors need replacement. You can get the RCA repair kit by that same name from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the parts and the CD with instructions.

The problem will be the deflection board (left hand side board when looking from back of unit.Part number is 258762 is no longer avaible thru rca but you can contact tristate module or pts electronics-you can even google the part number

Liz, yes it is a power supply problem, better question is; low voltage or high voltage power supply ? count the blink code, it should repeat the code, once you have the code call your local tv shops and give them the model number of your tv and the blink amount and they`ll tell you price to fix, gl, video-tek

replace the flyback 259296 and the CP150 capacitor. You can get the replacement parts with free instructions at the following link.

Please post the model number of your RCA as usually its a bad flyback and start up capacitor when you get a 3 blink error code . But I can help you better if I have the model number of your set.

That board is called a Green Kine Drive pcb. The part number is 266860.

Repalce 3 capacitors 2200uf 16 v & two 220uf 35v.

when the green light flashes.. this mean the processor in the set is shuting the set down. for some saftey issue. it doesnt want to cause a fire or damage the set further. it can be one of many issues. techninicans have speacial equipment to read the set to determine the errors. this is pretty standard with this set

the main pwr board is defective and will need replacement...
