Question about Televison & Video
Try connecting any other HDMI devices to the TV to ensure if the issue is not with the TV. You may also try connecting the cable box/DVR to the TV using a component video cable and an audio cable to check if the issue is not with the HDMI port on the TV.
You may also try resetting the cable box then connecting it to the TV.
You may also check for any model specific System Software update on the manufacturer site that may have been released to fix this type of issues.
