is the battery charged fully? that clutch won't work without proper voltage. just because the mower will crank doesn't mean there is enough. check for loose or broken wires, but its either not enough voltage or the clutch is bad. with the engine off and switch turned on, engage the switch and see if you hear the clutch engage (click).

May be a safety switch not letting the PTO engage the clutch? Also check your voltage at the battery...too low a voltage won't let the clutch engage either. Should be between 13.3-14v at full throttle.

My 318 John Deere mower blades would not turnoff. The switch would not move. Even when I got off the seat the mower blades continued. I turned the motor off and now it won't start. Any idea?

Faulty attachmentment switch, replace it as it is sending a signal that it is engaged to your starter circuit, that is why it wont start.
It is also faulty as it wont engage the attachment (mower cutting deck)

Its not the drive belt. You have a bearing or etc. out.
I just have problem. The spindle bearing was bad.

John deere mower stopped cutting

it could be a few different things it depends on if it is a electric clutch or manual for engaging the deck. It also could be a bad pulley on the deck
