Sounds like you have an icemaker that is not connected to water . You need to turn the icemaker off at the icemaker . The buzzing , is the water valve behind refrig , being called for but no water to deliver .

Maytag MSD2351HEB sidebyside occasionaly goe thru frequent cycling buzz. Last for a couple of seconds, then repeats a few minutes later. sounds like a solenoid click when going off.

if this model has the techumse compressor it is probably drawing high amperage and kicking out. the click and buzz is the compressor winding stressing to draw the energy needed. compressor maybe bad. the compressor model usually starts with a t11...

Fridge has a buzzing sound

Sounds of the start relay is struggling to get the compressor started. In most cases the start components will need replaced to prevent further damage to compressor and loss of food storage. In these cases I always test the compressor windings to insure the compressor winding are not breaking down. I will not be able to tell you the parts you will need but it is a sure deal, work will need to be done in this area. I will need your model number to assist in parts. I will give you a helpful link on a compressor windings test. I reccomend that someone do the work soon, Thanks, Sea Breeze

REFRIGERATOR IS MAKING A BUZZING SOUND, not cooling

You have one of two problems going on. Your fan is spinning at hitting the sides. Or your compressor is shot which seems to be more the problem and even though it is cold the humming sound is a warning for you that the compressor is shot and it is more affordable to replace the fridge then the compressor. Sometimes compressor can cost more then the fridge.

My refrigerator buzzes for 5 or so seconds then

the buzzing noise your hearing is possibly your compressor trying to start up. this is generally a buzzing for 5-7 seconds followed usually by a click noise if it goes on for several hours you will notice the temps in the unit starting to rise. for alot of may tags with the tecumseh compressor the compressor had to be replaced. if it has an embraco compressor you can just replace the start relay on the compressor. let me know what you find thanks Peyton

Buzzing sound

the buzzing sound is the compressor trying to start. Unfortunately, it is locked up and the overload is cutting it out. It resets every couple of minutes or so. The problem is the compressor. You can try a hard start capacitor to see if it breaks loose, this is the cheap fix, otherwise it needs a new compressor, the expensive one.
