1. Turn machine OFF and unplug electrical cord from wall or power strip.
2. Turn ON printer without the power cord plugged in (this will discharge the power capaciter in the printer).
3. Plug electrical power back in and turn on printer...
4. It should have reset.

Another possibility:
The scanner arm has the physical "lock" switch in the locked possition. Turn OFF printer and move the switch to the unlock position. Turn on printer.
This switch is for whenever the printer is moved to a different location and will protect the scanning bar.

Hope this helps!

Malfunction detected on KONICA MINOLTA Bizhub C220 trouble code: C-371

FIRST, if this code comes back. Have a technician look at it DO NOT CONTINUE TO RESET the code!!!! AS this is for the Hot Part called the FUSER. It can catch on fire! And that will ruin a perfectly good day!!!!

1. Turn OFF the main power switch.
2. Turn main power switch ON while pressing the Utility/Counter key.
3. Touch [Trouble Reset].
4. Check to make sure that [OK] is displayed and it has been reset.
5. After turning off the main power switch, turn it on again more than 10 seconds after and check if the machine starts correctly.

Cannot receive calls and answering service not working

Try removing the battery from the hand set and unplugging the base unit for a few minutes. If that doesn't work, do a reset.

Can't turn it on. Power digital readout doesn't work.

Mine would not turn on at all, found the contact pads for the buttons was corroded. Used an eraser and cleaned them, working good now. Of course the whole thing has to come apart to get to the contact pads.

Unplug printer. Wait at least 5 minutes.
Plug back in printer
Open readout cover

This will reset the printer
If this does not work, try turn off printer
Open and close the readout cover slowly couple of times

Uc code on readout then dc code w/ 7min left

If your machine is a FAV6800A or FAV9800A the unblance error are most likely due to a Clutch malfunction. See this post Clutch Fix to see what is involved to re-lube/replace the clutch in the FAV6800A or FAV9800ATL. If you or someone you know has basic mech. skill sets you can do this it’s just a tight work area.

Clean Unable 46 how pleaes brother dcp130c

Hello,

The message "Unable to Clean. " will appear on the display if there is a
mechanical malfunction of the Brother machine OR a foreign object, such as a paperclip or ripped piece of paper is stuck in the
machine.

First, check the machine for any foreign objects:

1. Open the scanner cover by pulling up on the lower right corner of the
cover until it locks into place. Look inside the Brother machine and remove any foreign objects.

2. Close the scanner cover by lifting it slightly to release the lock,
gently push the scanner cover support located in the back of the unit
and then close the scanner cover.

3. If the error message continues to appear on the display the machine
will need to be reset. To reset the unit unplug the Brother machine
from the power outlet for several minutes and then plug it back in.

If the message continues to appear on the display and your machine is
within warranty, you can locate a Brother Authorized Service Center
(ASC) in your area by clicking on the link below:
http://www.brother-usa.com/service/default.aspx or contact Brother
Customer Service by calling 1-877-Brother (1-877-276-8437) Monday
through Friday, excluding holidays.

If your machine is out of warranty, you can locate a Brother Authorized
Service Center using the information listed above.

Please Let me know if this works, or if it does not.

Thanks,

Have PRO95 scanner lost showing readout of agencys on radio

You need to Reset the display,
Turn off the Scanner, wait 10 seconds then turn it back on,
Now Insert a pointed object, such as a straightened paper clip, into the reset hole on the left side of the scanner above the PWR DC 9V jack.and hold it for 5 seconds.
The display should return to normal operation..
Note this will not erase the frequencies in the scanner it will reset the display processor.. Let me know how it goes.. :-)

Get and "L' message on the readout - it does not move when you turn it on

most likely the sensor that reads the scanner is at home position, is out of place.
It is probably hitting or rattling against the right side.
remove glass, (W/POWER OFF), move scanner away, and look on the sides of the machine there should be a U shaped sensor there, on the scanner there should be a L bracket that goes between the sensor
