I had the same WiFi problem, reconnected by USB and failed again. However, cleaned up printer settings on the iMac and reinstalled. Now it works but I am dissapointed about the WiFi. Amazingly hard to find info on the Canon Support Site...
Make sure that you have all the installation files shown at the following link http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010643.asp In Mac then start Solution Menu from the menu bar, select the Go menu, Applications, Canon Utilities, Solution Menu, then double-click Solution Menu. Select Use Solution Menu to get the information on the machine or change the print settings by only clicking buttons on a screen. With Solution Menu, you can start the software applications supplied with the machine or display the operating instructions. It also provides you with the information on troubleshooting.
If you get problems then please come back to me for assistance with details of what you have done and what errors you get etc.
My MP600 came up error 306 for no reason. I unplugged everything and plugged it back in again (I found a clump of dust at the USB port on the hub, which could have been involved) - the printer worked again no problem.
