Need to reboot acer aspire without recovery disc

I don't have the recovery disc. I read to hit alt F10 but that's not working. It says windows is loading files and then it brings me to another boot menu, but then back to the acer screen. Any ideas?

Recovery cd for acer aspire 5332

Mostly Acer machines come with a partition installed in them, basically if you cant boot to windows, you can simply hold down Alt Key and Continuously tap the F10 key immediately after booting up the unit to get to the recovery mode.
Or you can simply contact Acer for the Recovery CD's.

Factory reset for Aspire one without disk and alt + F10 doesnt work

The disk-to-disk recovery may be disabled preventing the Alt + F10 key sequence running eRecovery. To enable disk-to-disk recovery, you must do the following... (do not have an external monitor attached)
1. activate the BIOS utility by pressing F2 during Power On System Test (while Acer logo displayed)
2. select Main from the categories listed at the top of the screen
3. find D2D Recovery at the bottom of the screen and use F5 and F6 keys to set this value to Enabled
4. exit the BIOS utility and save changes.
The system will reboot.
5. while the Acer logo is showing, press the Alt key and the F10 key at the same time repeatedly
6. wait as Acer eRecovery starts up then follow onscreen instructions to perform system recovery.

Alternatively to the above, if Windows can be accessed, the recovery can be done by launching Acer eRecovery Management by running the program from the Acer Empowering Technology program group in the Start menu.

How to restore my laptop without a recovery disc? (acer aspire 5100)

Hi

You could try hitting the f10 key at the top of your keyboard as soon as you start the computer that should take you into factory restore to start with it looks likes its loading windows but in about a min it takes you into the option to take back to factory settings

If f10 dont work try alt\f10 or the blue fn\f10

if none of them work hit the delete key on startup and go into bios to make sure that f10 is not disabled because sometimes it is by default disabled

But be very carefull not to alter anything else in the bios or you could and probably have big problems just enable f10 0r f12 if they are disabled then hit save click yes

windows will then restart and try the f10 key again

good luck

Reboot to factor sttings without disc

Try hitting ALT+F10 at startup. I believe that is Acer's recovery key sequence. Let me know if you have continued problems.

Acer aspire 6920 back to factory settings

Acer sent me these instructions.

The other way before Vista starts up is to tap ALT + F10 (at the same time repeatedly) when the computer is first switched on.. The window of opportunity is very small, so this may take a few attempts

Once you have tapped both the ALT and F10 repeatedly, you may see a screen showing:

“Edit Boot options for Microsoft Windows Vista”

If you see this, unfortunately, you have missed the window of opportunity, and you need to restart, and try again.

If you see this:
“Edit Boot options for Windows Setup” OR “Edit Boot options for Acer eRecovery”

Then it indicates that you have tapped the ALT + F10 correctly, and all you now need to do is press “Enter” and the Recovery program should load on your screen after a short pause..

In some cases, you may need to remove the battery (for notebooks only) and run the machine directly from the mains.

The Disk2Disk recovery feature allows you to recover the system without recovery CDs.

This will return your system to factory settings and will delete everything stored on the machine.
If possible we strongly advise backing up anything important on your machine before starting the recovery process.
