1 Answer

No power Tried to turn printer on, but it doesn't react. It is as if the printer is not plugged in. I moved to different power plug to make sure it wasn't a defective plug, resulting in the same problem. I know the printer worked this morning because I scanned a photo. Please help.

I have a 922 printer and it won't turn on.

Did you try plugging the printer into a known live outlet? If the outlet tests good and has available power, check and make sure that no panels have come loose and could have tripped a safety switch during your move of the printer which could cause a no power up issue to prevent damage to printer. If still no luck, try a different power cord and se if that works. Hope this helps.

Can not get power to come on

Try to unplug the power adapter of the printer. It's located at the back and check if the LED light on the adapter is on. If not, then the adapter is defective.

If it's on, try to plug the adapter back in and make sure that it's plugged all the way in. If it doesn't resolve the problem, try to plug in the printer to a different power outlet.

Alignment problem error message.

It could be due to cartridges in the printer. Try the steps below to identify and fix the problem:
  1. Make sure the printer is on.
  2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-In-One is busy. Note: If the carrier does not automatically move to the center, turn off the printer or unplug the printer from the power source and then carefully slide the carrier to the center.
  3. Remove both cartridges from the carrier.
  4. Close the printer cover.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in to, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.
  7. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.
  8. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new genuine Lexmark cartridge. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't help, try this approach:

Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

If that doesn't help, the problem could be due to a clogged print cartridge nozzle. Please follow the steps below to fix print quality issues with your model:

  1. On your computer, go to Start menu.
  2. Go to Programs.
  3. Go to Lexmark 4200 Series folder.
  4. Select Lexmark Solution Center.

From the Maintenance tab, select Align to fix blurry edges. Your printer will then print a page that will help align the cartridges.

Doesn t recognise the color cadrige

Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

1. Make sure the printer is on.

2. Open the printer cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy.

Note: If the carrier does not automatically move to the center, turn off the printer/unplug the printer from the power source and then slide the carrier to the center.

3. Remove the color cartridge from the carrier.

4. Close the printer cover.

5. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

6. When the printer turns on, reinsert the color cartridge.

7. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.

8. If the error continues to appear, replace the cartridge with a new cartridge or insert a different known working color cartridge to determine if it's a faulty cartridge issue.

If problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

I tried to send a fax but the machine turn on and off by it self and only the fax button keeps on, it makes the noise like if going to send the fax, but it turn off

It could be that the printer is not getting enough power. Pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds. This will help reset the printer.
If that doesn't help, try to plug the printer into a different known working power outlet to verify that it's not a faulty power outlet issue.

No power. Unplugged and let sit then plugged in again still no power.

Hello,

Have you tried using a different plug? If so and it still doesn't turn on then the power adapter inside the printer may be faulty. I recommend taking it back to the place you purchased it and ask for a repair or replacement if it still falls under your warranty.

Our canon MP560 printer will not turn on - it was plugged into a surge protector and we have tried moving the plug to alternate outlets just to make sure that wasn't the problem...help!

This is what worked for me. I had a similar setup and could not get the printer to turn on. Remove the power supply from the back of the machine. It is a very simple process: pull apart two small plastic connectors with your fingers to remove power supply. Disconnect internal blue cable from power supply.

Replug blue cable and be sure it is plugged in tight.
Push power supply back into place, be careful of blue cable when pushing it back into printer.
Plug in and printer just may work...good luck!

Cannot turn on printer

Is the printer plugged into a power strip? Please make sure the power strip is turned on.

Also, please change the power cable for the printer as this can sometimes be faulty.

Have you tried to plug the printer into a different location, I mean into a different wall outlet.

Hmmmmm. Well, you could power the printer on, open the lid so that the cartridge caddy moves to the center, then pull the power plug...? Beyond that, I've never tried what you're fixing to try.

try to measure the voltage output of your power supply adapter using voltmeter..if it reads 30 volts. and a current of 1.7 Amp..
the power supply is OK..

then if the power supply is OK ..

i think there's a components or parts of your printer is damage because of the power surge ..when you unplug and plug the printer..
