Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

IF THIS IS A BRAND NEW INSTALLATION - be sure you hav removed the basket shipping pins (4) that secure the tub during shipping.

IT SPINS AN BANGS OUT OF CONTROL ON THE SPIN CYCLE

There are three things that can cause this problem. Here they are.
  1. Suspension spring missing or broken
  2. Tub balancing spring missing or broken
  3. All four feet not on the floor at once. (Needs leveling)
  4. Ballance ring has dried out or leaked out.
Here is how to check and repair the list above.
#1. Tilt washer backwards so that you can get under the front. Check the large springs and make sure all three are in place on the three points of the triangle base.
#2. Makes sure that this spring is also in place. If so they may be weak and need to be replaced anyway. These are more important than they look.
#3.Set machine back down. Now pull on machine so that the back legs come of the floor. Now set machine back down. Doing this levels the legs on the back.
#4. Open lid and pull tub to one side so you can see the top of both the inside and outside tub. On top of them is a plastic piece that covers the top of both. Shake this and listen for water sloshing. It should have water inside that helps balance machine. If it's dry, you will need to replace.
Please go to www.partselect.com and enter IP4400 in the block where you enter your model number. This will bring up a blow up of every piece of your machine and where you can find them inside the machine. If you click on the diagram that's labeled Machine Base Parts, all the parts I listed other than the ring #4 will be in the diagram. You can see where they go, their part number and you can also order them. I have found that they have the best price on parts most of the time. I sure hope this helps and I'm sure it will solve your problem if I didn't confuse you with my rambling. Good luck and have a great day.

Washer bangs loudly in middle of spin cycle

Hello,

Make sure the back spring is still on the back of the tub. That tends to come off sometimes. Check all the other springs while you're down there too. You can balance the unit if you tilt the back side of the washer and then set it back down. it has auto leveling feet. What's happening is once the water is all drained out, the unit will enter the final spin cycle and spin very fast putting the unit off balance so the tub bounces around.

Good luck, let me know if this helped.

Excessive spin

I had this issue when I first purchased my stackable washer.. Because it was still under warranty, I had someone check it out. Apparently when it was installed they forgot to take out the security clamp that secures the unit during delivery.. duh!!

Washer is jumping extremely only when spinning

I own a Malber WD1000, which is several years old. Recently, I had it transported a couple thousand miles across country, and due to the size of the pickup truck it was in, the machine had to lay on its side for the duration of the trip. Shortly afterward, the machine began making a loud banging noise during the spin cycle. Additionally, the door gasket had a "wrinkled" appearance.

After taking various panels off of the machine, I discovered the culprit. The insides of the machine (drum, etc), are more or less suspended inside the outer housing. This is accomplished by means of a pair of shock absorbers on the bottom, and a pair of large springs on top. This allows the inner workings to shake a little bit during the spin cycles, without transferring the vibrations to your floor. In my unit, one of the upper springs had come loose from the frame. The solution involved tipping the machine on its side, with the top cover off, and pulling the end of the spring back through the mounting hole in the frame, then finding a nut and bolt to occupy the additional space in the hole, so that the spring could not slip back out. Getting the end of the suspension spring properly seated again was no small task, but it solved the problem, and now the washer works just great again.

Long story short, I'd check to see if all the springs are in the proper place.
