Did you check the screens that cover the intake tubes where you hoses connect up to see if there is any sand or grit covering the screens? A lot of times over time there are small amounts of sand or grit that comes through the water lines and it plugs off the screens where the hoses screw on.

The washing machine is leaking all the time?

The possibilities for this problem are mentioned as follows:-- Check the water filling hoses which lets the water inside the washing machine while filling. There are two fill hoses.one for cold water filling or one for hot water filling.if this hoses are worn out or cracked the washer will leak.so both the hoses needs to be checked and replaced. But if the hoses are checked OK then other possibility is the tub seals on the tub.The seal can be seen between the transmission assembly and outer tub assembly of the washing machine. If the tub seal is got loose or worn out it needs to be checked and replaced. But if the tub seals are proper and not worn out then other possibility to check out is the drain pump.Check if the pump is got cracked ,loose or worn out.in case or cracked or worn out it needs replacement but if its loose you can just refit it properly to stop the leaking. But if the pump is not leaking and it looks properly fit then other possibility to check is the outer tub assembly.its made up of plastic and this plastic gets cracked after certain period of time.or if any pointed object/material if remain in the clothes while washing .then due to that pointed object there becomes a hole in the plastic outer tub assembly .This all the possibilities.that has to be checked. This will help.Thanks.

Ftf2140fs1 water fills up tub and over flows with door open when not using it

Hi Greg Meigs - If your washer will not stop filling up with water and overflows the tub, check for one of these problems:

1) Turn off the electricity to the washer. If the water *stopped* filling when power was disconnected, the problem would usually be in the control system of the machine. If the water still continues, then the plunger in the water valve is either stuck open or slow to close. Try turning the water faucets off and on a few times. This small joltmight unstick the water valve. If not, it will need replacing.

2) There could be a problem with the water level switch. Call in a professional.

3) There is a pressure switch hose that is attached to an air dome. This switch tells the washer that there is water in the tub and allows the agitator to start.

- Remove the control panel and you will notice a small hose. See if it popped off of the air dome. If it did, secure it with a zip tie.

If water flow continues, but drains out immediately, then raise the drain hose above the highest water level line of the tub. Do not seal the drain hose to the discharge pipe. This could cause a siphoning action.

Water will not stop running into washer

one of 2 things can do this, first unplug the unit from the power if it continues to fill then its the water fill valve thats bad, second if it stops filling when unplugged from the power outlet then its probably a plugged pressure switch line from the tub so the water pressure cannot switch the pressure switch diaphram from fill to wash cycle, open the cover and remove the pressure hose from the tub and blow into it and you will hear a click in the pressure switch its connected to,then replace hose onto tub side and blow into the other end of this same hose and make sure theres air movement in the tub as you will see and hear bubbling noise

My washer won't stop filling with water

either the pressure hose is plugged with debris from the base of the tub up to the pressure switch or the pressure switch in the upper side area or behind the control panel is bad, follow this small hose from the tub base pressure dome up to a round shaped plastic component usually about 3" diameter, this is your pressure switch, when its filling remove this hose off the tub and blow into the end of the hose off the tub,if the switch is good you will hear a click and the water will stop and the machine will start, then you know hose is blocked

Hot water is coming out full strenght through hose but coming real slow into machine. It is a kenmore 110 about 20 years old and still working great except the slow hot water filling the tub.

could be your fill valve plugged up with sediment, remove your hose from the rear of unit and look at the screen inside see if it is plugged up!

Cold water filling of tub is extremely slow. No kinks

turn cold water off and remove hose from washer, next remove the screen from the water inlet and clean it and place it back in the valve, place hose back on the inlet, turn cold water back on and test cold setting, you should have good flow.

Maytag Washer (approx. 7 years old) has slow stream when filling

Follow the two inlet hoses from the back of your machine. They should each end at a valve (one for hot and one for cold). Make sure that these valves are all the way counter-clockwise and that the hoses are not kinked or pinched.
