Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
Sounds like the cable to the inverters has worked loose. Sometimes repositioning the laptop lid resolves the problem but the problem still persists.
The inverter is located underneath the screen itself and is a long, elongated circuit board with wires protruding from each end. To get to it you have to remove the screen bezel (the plastic screen surround).
Check the connections on the inverter and make sure they are plugged in tight.

Reseat the LCD cable, see if the connection works any better. Next try an external monitor. If colors are good on external, replace motherboard
