Check for a blown thermal fuse. It's about an inch long and is inside the rear of the dryer, usually attached to or near the exhaust duct. It can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a blown fuse. Hope this helped and best wishes.

There is no power to dryer

is there power to the outlet, if not check breaker panel, dryers call for a 30 amp breaker, if so then remove back panel plate to access the power cord, plug in dryer and check for voltage at the terminals of the dryer, the middle is ground the two outside have power, if you have power there then here is a website. Good Luck Tim:

My Kenmore Dryer will not start. We replaced the Receptacle but it still will not start.

Make sure the dryer is getting power by checking the breakers. The dryer usually has a drum lamp that turns on only when the door is open. Power is indeed getting power if the lamp turns on. If not, either the lamp is busted, the door switch is not working, or the dryer is not getting power at all.

The problem is likely a blown thermal fuse if the dryer is getting power. This thermal fuse is wired in series with the motor and if it blows, power to the motor is terminated and the motor cannot run. No dryer function works when the motor cannot run. Click on the link below for the detailed procedure in checking for such condition.

DRYER HAS LIGHTS BUT WILL NOT POWER ON, WHY?

If you have 220 Volts going to the dryer then most likely Its the Thermal Fuse
Part # 3390719 On this Model the Thermal Fuse is located in the front of the
Dryer not the back. Good Luck

My GE DPSB620ECWW does not light up the pannel or

Check circuit breaker at the house electric panel, if good, check for voltage (220/240)volts at the receptacle that the dryer power cord plugs into, if good, check for voltage(220/240)volts at the dryer terminal block where the dryer power cord connects to the dryer, if good, check voltages at the dryer power transformer, should be 220/240 volts for motor, and 110/115 volts control power for dryer controls, you should find the failure within these inspections/testing.
Good Luck !

Frigidaire Crown dryer will not start. Has power to it

Check the following to address this issue.

1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power with a voltmeter or by plugging something else in. Sometimes the power cord disconnects or burns at the dryer, if this is the case, the wiring and the terminal block must be repaired or replaced.

2. Door switch / Door switch actuator lever
The dryer would not start with a broken door switch. Replace the door switch if found defective.

Most dryers have a door switch actuator lever - when you close a dryer door, it presses against the lever, which actuates the door switch. If the lever is broken, the switch would not activate and the dryer would not start. Replace the lever, if broken.

Note: Door switch actuator lever usually comes with the door switch assembly and it is recommended to get the whole assembly since there is almost no price difference between the door switch assembly and just the lever. Check your model for more details.

Dryer heating element

There is a fuse in the dryer for the heat.
Before tearing into the dryer, make sure the power getting to the dryer is absolutely correct. (check power with the dryer running) Even with incorrect power to the dryer. the drum will still turn but there will be no heat.
Many a person has paid for expensive service calls for the problem you are having only to discover by the servicer that there was nothing wrong with the dryer but had bad power to the dryer......
