Need a complete clear and restart...help please!

TE-8500FOn power up, customer receipt printer feeds one line at a time non-stop. No error codes and no buttons allow any entry.

In order to reset the cash register reference the following link for documentation ftp://ftp.totalpos.co.nz/Currentmanuals/Casio-TE8000.pdf - See page 87 for Reset (Z) report procedures.
as documented this will clear all sales data from the unit.

Sounds like an initialization error

You can perform a Flag Clear to clear errors but it must be done exactly as below
If the sequence is not followed exactly - you could erase your program
This as a Non Destructive Reset for Most programmable Casio Tills - Please Check your manual first
Flag Clear:Please do this at your own risk
Turn the mode key to OFF position - Put the OW Key in the mode lock
Press and hold the RECEIPT FEED key down ( top left corner of keyboard )
Turn the key to PGM position while the RECEIPT FEED key is held for 5 seconds -
Release the key -
FFFFFFFFFF will appear on the display -
( If this does not happen then turn the power off for 2 seconds and ON again while holding down the RECEIPT FEED key for 5 seconds and then release the key )
While FFFFFFFFFF is on the display -Press the Subtotal key once - A Receipt docket will print with the MAC Code
Return key to REG and sign Clerk on as normal

If MAC Code Prints out as 000000 or you get another error code on the display - Call your Dealer

Getting error in E004 for Casio TE-2200 reg how do I get out and running


Try this:
Turn key to PGM (program) mode
Turn power off at the wall socket

Hold down RECEIPT FEED button (keep your finger on it)

Turn power back on and wait 5 seconds before taking your finger off of the receipt feed button (the paper may feed out. This is normal).
The LLLLLLLLLL part of the display should change to FFFFFFFFFF.
Press SUBTOTAL once and wait for the printer to issue a receipt.
Turn key back to REG mode and try it. You may need to sign on using a clerk button or a clerk code if you use one.

Getting error e004 on te-2200

I have a Casio TE-2200 Electronic cash register that is saying INIT LLLLLLLLLL What do I do to fix this. Please help


Be very careful. The machine is trying to wipe all of the programming due to a flat battery (you can't store cash registers for more than a month or so). Follow this very carefully:

Turn key to PGM (program) mode
Turn power off at the wall socket

Hold down RECEIPT FEED button (keep your finger on it)

Turn power back on and wait 5 seconds before taking your finger off of the receipt feed button (the paper may feed out. This is normal).


The LLLLLLLLLL part of the display should change to FFFFFFFFFF.
Press SUBTOTAL once and wait for the printer to issue a receipt.
Turn key back to REG mode and try it. You may need to sign on using a clerk button or a clerk code if you use one.

If the memory is scrambled and your programming has vanished, you will need to clear the machine and start again. There is a full programming manual online. the only one I know of is here:

Casio te error 01 On normal reg selection all buttons are non responding to anything. On all other mode switches an error code 01 appears. What do I do?

Error paper output slot. the paper is jammed clear


Try this...With te printer off line, press the paper feed button making sure thre is paper in both feed trays. Once it print, a blank page go in and change back t your desired papper source. Hope that helps, please let me know.

Error code 2 on my MP160 but has paper


It would give you a different error msg:

1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power LED is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
4) When the LED lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)

TE-2400 error E004


Hi.
This is very serious. It means the register is about to completely clear everything (or may have done so already). If it has been sitting for a long time without power, or new out of the box, then this is normal. We can try to jump it back out of the init mode.

Follow these steps very carefully:

Turn the power off at the wall.
Turn the key to PROGRAM mode.
Hold RECEIPT FEED button down.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see the display change to 'FFFFFFFFFF' let go of RECEIPT FEED.
Press SUBTOTAL

Turn the key back to REG mode and try it. If you get error 8, then you may need to log a clerk back on.

Hi. I would advise both of you to try a flag clear first to see if you have any program left.

Turn key to program. Power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED, and turn power on at wall.
Wait 10 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFF' press SUBTOTAL.
Turn key back to REG and try it.
