Monitor works perfectly, but after a recent crash of my comp. Ive lost all sound ..The comp doesnt seem to recognize the build in speakers..

The computer does not have to recognize the powered speakers that are built-in the monitor, the computer feeds the analog audio signal the powered speakers inside the montior, there is no driver needed either, but you do need the PC sound card driver for you to get sound through any powered speakers (either the desk top powered speakers or the one inside the montior).
Since your computer had crashed, the driver for the sound card may be have to be reloaded.
You can verify if the monitor speakers are working or not by feeding it with an MP3 player or sound output from CD player.

Speakers not working

I haven't seen a monitor that needs drivers for the speakers.

Assuming it has a standard 3.5mm plug for sound input from the PC, have you plugged this in between monitor and PC?
The monitor will have a volume control, make sure it's not muted or turned down too far.
Also check the volume control panel on the PC to make sure it's not muted or turned down.

I had a complete system crash; located all my cd's except my driver for my JBL Platinum Series speakers. Can you help me find a driver? I purchased with my HP Computer sometime in 2004, I believe. Thanks...

ok if these are the speakers im thinking of (have seen them on a pold HP pavilon computer, attached to the monitor) , than the speakers themselfs do not need drivers, as long as you have the sound card drivers your good to go

The intex 1901 lcd has speakers built in but they are not workingand the cd driver for the product is not with me

There is no need of driver cd in case of lcd speakers. It must have come with a cable. Just plug one end of that cable into the line in of the cpu and other end into the lcd. And check if u have installed sound drivers.
May it helps

Platinum JBL Series Speakers

as far as I know the speakers itself don't need drivers. I use em myself for years. The problem could be 2 things, 1: is the power still plugged into the speakers (from the monitor)(check both sides). 2: if you where removing any files from your computer it might be possible that you removed some drivers that came with your mainboard or audiocard.

MAG Innovision LT765S Model 780 = no audio

If your monitor supports sound (might have to be the LT765s product?), there will be two inputs on the back (to the right when looking at it from the back). One's labeled "Line in." This is where you'd plug the audio cable from your sound card.

Can't get sound to work

With very limited details provided by you, i have given the solution below.

1. Check for the connections and Speaker
2. Check if its mute/volume and sound control options.
3. Reinstall drivers

Under the Device Manager you have "Sound Videos and Game Controllers", you need to check for the audio drivers there.

Also if you have the CD for the Sound card or the Mother Board CD, Use that to install the drivers again.

Hope this helps

Compaq JBL Platinum Series speakers

Make sure that you got 12v 1.0 A adapter. Not .01 A. They have one at newegg.com atrix DVCPA1AA power adapter-12v 1.0 A. you should not need drivers for speakers. Make sure you got it pluged into right port if you got the adapter. Also make sure under control panel under sound that you got it setup for two speakers.
