Question about Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Digital Camera
One day I just turned on my camera and it asked me for the time and date as it did when I first bought it and it continues to do so every time I do. otherwise it works fine. what can I do?
You need to insert a new date/time battery. It's one of those flat disc batts that fits in a holder on the side of your camera. Look for a battery compartment cover on the right side of your camera with the lens facing you... it should come open with your thumbnail... make sure to put batt in correct direction.

The backup battery needs to be replaced. This small button battery (CR1220) provides the power for your camera to 'remember' settings when you change or remove the AA batteries. Instructions for changing this battery are in the manual on page 191 (US version of manual).
You can view/download the manual here.
