Re: Sound Card Problem

Windows usually has the driver information stored within the windows\system32 directory... you can do one of two things:

1) use the System Restore utility to go back to when your driver was there
2) Reinstall the sound card and Windows can find it on it's own.

If those don't work, you can find the driver on the internet.

Microsandisk 2gb accidentally reformatted and all the pictures there was deleted. can i still retreive it that were erased?

Maybe, what ever you do dont take any more pictures with that card. Down load and install a program called recuva,
Put the memory card in a usb card reader, attach that to your computer and run recuva and scan your memory card. You may have to do a deep scan to recover any files off of it.

control panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager, sound video and game controllers could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers

Sound can not be played on my system and asked about audio out put device

this is happening when the sound card has no driver ...probably you downgraded to xp from vista or windows 7 and now you do not have the suitable driver for xp...
If this is a brand computer ...than you can look on the manufacturer's site for the sound driver ....(for xp) if it is not...and it is a it and take a look at the sound card if it is a pci card...and let me know the name ..and model...if it is an on board card ..than I need the motherboard name ...
If the computer came with a driver disk ..and always used Xp ..but now you just reinstalled it ...look for the sound driver on the mother board disk ..or separate disk if it has a PCI card ..
(the pci card for sound is just a separate card ..that is inserted in a pci slot ..that is why its called that way ...and its different from a on board just by that...The on board cards..always have the drivers on the disk that came with the motherboard..)
Im waiting for an answer and will see whats to do further..

I have rebuilt my Acer Aspire 5101 from te recovery partition. I have also carried out all MS updates. I now have no sounds at all. Even Windows sounds. Any easy fix?

Try reinstalling the sound card drivers. If problem persists, may be hardware problem. Then contact service centre.

My computer has no sound and i don' know how to put sound back on to my computer

Probably a driver problem. Go to device manager and then sound devices and update your sound drivers...Or it could be a problem if the sound card is intergrated. You ca purchsed a pci sound card and fix it. You might want to check the bios and make sure your sound is enabled,,Hope this helps,,,,Darren
