When I recently turned on my camera, there is no picture, and the screen keeps flashing "lens cap" even though the lens cap isn't on. I have not had this issue before, and I have tried turning it on and off and replacing the battery. Can anyone help?
Apparently this same problem exists on many different models. I have a JVC grd72u. I called JVC @ 800-252-5722. I selected the "Corrective Action Program" prompt from the automated attendent. I spoke to a customer service rep. They are aware of the problem and are fixing it for free, but only until 12/31/07. I suggest you call ASAP and get your name in the computer. If the problem is something besides the CCD sensor, they will call you with the estimate to repair.
The ccd image sensor of your camera is the problem...i know it is free for replacing that sensor..that trouble is also in sony, canon, samsung and the other cameras brand cause the manufacturer of their sensor is only one company that why they recall it from the batch of 2002 to 2004..log on to the jvc costumer care to see all the detail...
