Question about GE GSS20IEP Side by Side Refrigerator
Frige recently moved but not laid over.
When plugged in, circuit board in rear starts "clicking". The fan underneath jumps with each click, so I assume the click is a relay that powers the compressor and the fan. Interestingly, I removed the light in the water/ice dispenser and the clicking stopped and the compressor and fan ran along with everything else. Unfortunately, that only lasted a few hours and the refrigerator stopped and the clicking began again. Now, I cannot get it to run at all. The pulses when it clicks are too short for me to get a current reading. I believe I either have a high current being drawn by my compressor or the circuit board is acting up. How can I determine which it is or are these symptoms indicative of something else?
These symptoms indicate that the main control board is bad . The compressor relay ( one of the black boxes ) is bad . Have to replace the complete board . Without the model number , can't give you the part number . Take the model number with you when you go to get the part ( or order the part ).
