Question about Refrigerators
I have a Hotpoint freezer/refer combo # HTS22GBMARWW. The top freezer has a fan that periodically makes alot of noise. My guess is that it's ice build up since it is not always there - comes & goes every few days. Assuming it's ice, any idea how to get rid of this problem?
First check that you do not have a bagged item in front of it. I have done this myself - so is easy to do. The plastic bag touches the fan - making a noise.
Next - check freezer is defrosted regularly.
The fan is used to remove the moisture in the freezer when the door is first closed - freezing it to the evaporator coils - to be safely removed later.
