Why doesn't my Arrow fire any staples any more? It's not jammed. The piston doesn't seem to raise high enough to get over the next staple in line. Is it worn out?

Might be could also be that you have the wrong staples in it. Arrow makes about 15 different staple guns. The reason for that is so they can sell you the right for your use staple gun. This also means that certain staples only work for certain guns. Check the model then check arrow web site and find the compatable staples for that gun. Hope this helps

How to load staples?

    • 1 Push in the push rod plate on the back of the Arrow T50P and press down to unclip the push rod from the gun. Pull the push rod out of the staple channel and away from the staple gun.
    • 2 Insert a strip of staples into the channel with the tips of the staples pointing toward the bottom of the staple gun.
    • 3 Place the end of the push rod into the staple channel of the gun. The end of the push rod has a small, solid piece of metal that fits into the staple channel.
    • 4 Press the rod all the way into the staple gun until the rod plate engages in the notch at the rear of the gun.

What part do I need to remove to make a bostich MIIIFS floor stapler to shoot 2 inch staples

You shouldn't have to do anything to the MIIIFS flooring stapler to shoot 2" staples. It is designed to shoot 1 1/2" to 2" staples right out of the box. If your stapler won't feed 2" staples, check the magazine all the way up to the power head for any foreign material that may hold up your staples.

Staples are stuck inside the stapler and will not come out

Typically you do not open these up.
Makes it difficult to remove stuck or wrong staples.
I have had good luck removing the staple ram rod and rapping firmly on the **** of the stapler against a wooden table. The idea is jolting the stuck staples into reverse out the way they went in. Tedious process but usually works. Removing the jammed staples in the nose at the striker plate requires using needle nose pliers and a sharp awl or small screw driver used on very small screws.
My T50 Arrow stapler is over 20 years old.
Still works great. Sometimes I slide in the wrong size staples by mistake. The process above usually works.
Good luck!

Load Staples in a Canon ImageRunner 2200

First step, have staple cartridge on hand, type J1 for the iR2200.
Open the front cover of the finisher, which is the door directly below the control panel, which opens from left to right.
There's a handle to grab on the front right corner where the paper comes out, pull it out all the way.
This will expose that module's back right corner where the green staple holder handle is.
With thumb and forefinger, reach in, take hold and lift up and pull out the staple case by its green tab.
You'll see "push" on the sides of the staple case, squeeze thumb and forefinger, one on each "push" sign, and the top will spring up, which is the clear plastic case through which you can see a large spring. Pull out the staple cartridge from the back, under the green tab.
Put the new cartridge in with the orange seal tape hanging out the back.
Press down on the spring-loaded case until it clicks into place again.
Remove the orange seal tab by pulling straight back, then down, not at an angle, as you don't want it to break, just to come off.
Holding it by the green tab, lower the staple case back into the finisher until it settles snugly into place.
Hope that helps!

Load staples in xerox 430st

I will assume you are talking about the stapler on the finisher. That is a little tricky, but you will see a button on top of the finisher, you have to hold it down for a few seconds and the trays will lower. There is then a small door that opens and the staple cartridge is in there. You can either hold the button down again to raise the bins or turn the machine on and off.

Staple Gun Troubleshooting

Most of the staple gun models lack an "anvil" — the metal plate with curved slots that office staplers use to bend the legs of the staple inwards and flattens them against the paper. Staples set with a staple gun retain their straight legs, and are held in place only by static friction of the legs against the compressed surrounding material, much like common nails. Indeed, some staple gun models can handle brads and nails as well as staples. Some staple guns also use divergent point staples where the legs twist as the staple drives into the surface providing superior holding power.
