Speckles all the way down the left side of print

There are speckles all the way down the left side of print. I tried cleaning the inside of printer. No luck. Wondering if it's time to replace a part but how do I know which one is causing the problem?

Before replacing a part, purchase transparent laser cleaning sheets and run them through your printer. May take 10 tries to clean.

Sometimes a faulty cartridge causes spots, also. So, you may need to replace the cartridge (send your current cartridge back if another cartridge works and your current one is new).

Hope this helps.

Usually that type of print defect is caused by a drum unit being worn out. Check your users manual for the part number. It may be available from Office Depot or the store you purchased the printer from, if not order online.

Why are pages scanning with lines running through them, but printing perfectly fine?

Try cleaning the rollers. Usually you have to remove the cartridge to get to the rollers that moves the paper.

HP Laserjet P3005, everytime we print we get black speckles in 7 even lines across the paper. Why is this?

Usually caused by the toner cartridge, try replacing the cartridge. Especially if it is not a genuine HP cartridge they have a higher defect rate.

Red speckles in the background of printed items

Hello Minnowillo!
Theres a few things you need to do first to determine what its causing the problem
Here are somo steps you can follow:
1) Print a Supply status report (Main Menu > Reports > Supply status)
If you still see the red speckles on this page we can tell that the problem is not on the computer
Check toner level on this supply status, if its showing lower than 10 % i would recommend to replace the cartridge
2) Run 3 Calibrations in a row (Main Menu > System Setup > Print Quality > Calibrate Now)
3) Run 2 cleaning modes ( Main Menu >Services > Cleaning Mode)
4) Access the secondary service by hitting the checkmark and the cancel button at the same time, then hit the checkmark again
Under the secondary service look for "Clean Belt" anr run it twice
Try printing again
As a recommendation most of this print quality issues are related to a defective cartridge (scratches on the cartridge drum) so if you have a spare cartridge i would start replacing it
If you determine that the problem is not the cartridge, that means the problem is with a defective roller and it will need service

Take the toner out, and shake it. Make sure you cover the holes or you will make a mess

Everytime I have had spots or streaks this has fixed it for me.

P.s. you may want to get a cleaner sheet and run it thought the rolls.
