Hi i have checked where the cables should go and theres only one place on the video machine where all 3 phono leads could go which is av2. Yet when i try it on the laptop i can get sound but no picture. Is there anything you can suggest that would enable to get me a picture on my vcr? i have tried everything i can think of yet it still doesn't work. Any Advice would be brillant. Many thanks

Yes i am definately using the phono leads (rca plugs) the red and white work perfectly but the yellow doesn't seem to be giving any picture. Looking at it the vcr only has the white and red audio out but not one for the yellow lead this is probably why. I have a scart adapter to run these into the back but that doesn't seem to work either. I live in england and the vcr is the standard pal version. I have a s-video lead but the vcr doesn't want to accept that it seems. I own 3 vcrs in total and have tried all of them with the same result is there something else i'm not doing? or something i could do to rectify this problem? Thanks for all your advice so far. Roger

I hate to keep harping on this but, I assume you are using the RCA plugs and you have the software running on the laptop. You should have three cables, yellow (video) and white/red (audio). If the VCR (note that vcr is not the laptop screen) can output to a TV screen then it should work to the capture device. Watch as you disconnect each cable from the TV to be sure it is video or audio (have VCR running). then connect them to the capture device as you disconnect them from the TV (you may want to be sure the video gets to the yellow plug). You do not say what country you are from, but make sure the PAL, SECAM or NTSC is correct on the device. Also be sure the video source you want to capture is not copy right protected. It is also possible that the capture device is defaulting to s-video input VS RCA. Check settings. These are the most common problems. If it is not one of these it is a bit more difficult to trouble shoot.

First thing is to be sure the cables are in the correct ports. (I have seen where one of the audio is in the video.)

Ez grabber i hear vhs thru computer but only see blue screen

The video head is dirty or there is a compatability issue with the vcr to the computer. Buy T120 blank tape, set vcr tape speed to sp, put blank tape in the machine and press the play button and let play right through, repeat if no change, if after the second run there is no improvement, check the video cable connection from vcr to computer, if okay! maybe compatability issue.

Can i connect a samsung camcorder vdp453 to windows7 pls?

Most of these camcorders do not have proper usb support for video, so you'll have to buy a so-called video grabber or capture card. You can plug in the video grabber to usb and then connect dvi or firewire from your camcorder. Install the included software, configure your camera. Then press play and the video grabber will record the input from your camera.
When you buy one of those video grabbers, make sure it's a good one. Make sure powerful and stable software (which is compatible with windows 7) is included. Cheap things usually don't work. I've had this Chinese piece of junk for $10 which lagged and kept crashing my computer. Pinnacle was a lot more expensive but it works great and the fun will last a long time.

I need a driver for easycap usb capture card

That should link you to the drivers for your usb capture card. I believe the category you must select is "
USB Video & Audio Grabber". Make sure you choose the correct model. The directions should be pretty straightforward to follow. If you can't find the directions, I've posted them below.

• Download the DC60+ Video grabber with audio drivers and utilities file to your computer.
• Unzip this file to a directory you will remember, such as DC60+.
• Uninstall the old drivers for Video adapter with audio from your computer at first, and leave your DC60+ Video grabber with audio plugged into your PC or laptop.
• Run setup.exe, from the directory file.
• Plug DC60+ Video grabber with audio into your PC or laptop, and click "OK" or "Next" to update the latest drivers. Please find the installation step through Quick Installation Guide or Software and driver CD.
Name: dc60+ driver.rar

Vcr to dvd

Hi you could install a Video Grabber or an Internal TV Tuner card into your computer if its Desktop computer or an expensive USB TV TUNER if its for laptop . Plug in the composite video out from your VCR to the Composite Video in to the computer .Use nero or any other software to build a movie in fact the bundled application software of your TV TUNER or VIDEO Grabber card would be better .

Hope this helps.
