I have a LG home theatre system model HT963TA(HT963TA,SH93TA-S/CW) THE DVD PLAYER "BLACKS OUT " FOR SHORT PERIODS OF TIMES INTERMITANTLY.I TRIED CHANGING THE HDMI CONNECTION AND ALSO CHECKED THE DVD'S ON OTHER PLAYERS ALL TO NO AVAIL.A BAD PLAYER?

I have this problem too.If you set the DVD player resolution to 480p instead of 1080p it will not have the blackouts anymore. Of course this defeats the whole purpose of buying an "upscaling" DVD player. Just curious: what TV's are-you using?

I also have the same problem. We tried calling sears(where we purchased the model) and they could do nothing for us. We also just tired a lense cleaner, but still picture blacks out during movies. Audio never skips just picture. help us!
