Question about IBM ThinkPad 600X Notebook
I'm confronted with this error after accidently shutting off the laptop (unpluging it while a program was running).
Nice laptop!! but, many people have this message on their IBM's, so i found i dude that said he had it but knows how to get around it. please bare in mind i dont have this laptop, so i dont guarantee good results, but its worth a try!!. here it goes :-
1.switch on your laptop
2.the screen will then display the error, 08611
4.the screen will show the "stuff" in your laptop
6.then click configure
7.press ctrl + the letter D
8.the screen will display the commands to run your laptop
9.you go to the first and third row and change the number "02" to "01"
11. reboot your laptop

Don't have enough information to give you an answer yet. I would suspect the we have managed to cobble up some software, somewhere. And, it might take a bit of digging to find out exactly what is going on.
The 8611 error would appear to be a system bus error. Not real sure just how this works into things, at this point in time.
I guess the first thing to do is try to bring it up in "Safe" mode and see what happens.
Do you have any recovery disks, or a copy of your operating system and what operating system are you running?

Put a detonator on your pc unit,.. then runaway as fast as you can,.. then push the button,.. and um,... cover your ears for you to not hear what may happen to your poor pc unit,.. or else put it into a stove and put a butter milk on top,.. then put it inside the microwave. then,.. TADA!!!! instant meal!!!
