We have had our 27 Inch Akai LCT2785TA for almost 2 years, just today we cannont get it to turn on the red light will just flash when we try to turn it on. Can you give me an explanation and a fix for this problem - 500.00 TV should not do this after such a short amount of time.

I have the same tv which a friend gave me because it had the same problem you have ,its the power supply. The capacitors go bad usually in two to three years at least what I have seen here .
You can get the tv fixed by someone who can use a soddering gun and savy in electrical boards.
Parts are less then ten dollars.
