It could be that your belt isn't on right. There should be a diagram where it goes to show exactly how it goes. Also, make sure the brushes are clean and there are no kinks in any hose anywhere. If there is no suction, there might be an obstruction somewhere. If it's not in the vacuum, check the hose or attachments.
If you have another bag, try finding the locking mechanism near the bottom (where it attaches to the vacuum.) Most of the time, you'll need to twist it, or unlatch something, and then replace it with a new bag.
Well, for this unit you will need any of the following bags,
Eureka genuine Part# 90610 Eureka replacement (Central vac bag) another genuine bag style called CV-1, and/or CV-2 Kenmore Central vac bags
Most of the bags there are available at your local vacuum shop, and sometimes even Sears. The Kenmore central vac bag is, can and will fit your Eureka Mega Boss. Prices range on these bags anywhere from $12-$20 for packages of 3. Generally you will replace a bag once every 3-4 months.
On the open end of the bag that slips onto the vacume, there is a cloth "tab" sticking up from the band. Take hold of this tab and lift up while easily pulling back until you see the band about half way off the vacume. Now, you can take hold of the band and pull the bag the rest of the way off. You will notice that there is a "rib" in the middle of the band on the side that faces the vacume. That rib fits into the groove where the band goes on the vacume. When you install the bag put the band on this groove and work the band on around the housing. You can center the "tab" anywhere, just place it where you can get to it easy. The other parts you need are on the internet, I found them all including that rubber plug called the "attachment port" plug. The p/n for the replacement part is 3-201744-601. The original p/n is 3-501744-601 but you'll be better looking for the replacement part number. Good luck!
