Possibly it has a thermistor in the mains voltage line to the switch which cuts out when hot, I have this same problem with my Peavey TX210 combo. Pretty sure it is just the thermistor which is easy to track if you follow the mains cord wiring towards the switch and switched on light with your meter. The voltage does not get to the switch, but is stopped at the thermistor.

How to fix a gt5 peavey rockmaster amplifier

Hi. My name is Danielle and I have a peavey rockmaster GT-5 guitar mini amp, and it can work with/without the cable. I lost the cable and I didn't need to worry because the amp still worked as long as it had good batteries. But, after about 4 months of no use of it, I put in a brand new battery and the light wouldn't turn on. I looked all over the amp to see if something was missing but I found nothing. I'm really not sure what to do because this is a very good amp and I'd hate to throw it away. Can anyone Help Me?

Peavey 2600 Low input = Complete Cutout

I'm not quite sure of how the two amps are interacting here, so I'd like to request that you describe the entire hookup. Sending a higher signal from the mixer should not be a problem, but something is wrong in the setup (I think). Please update this with a description of how you have the mixer and amps connected to the speakers. Thanks, Dan

Eq on channel a doesn't work on 2 units

It could be an internal ground connection on the EQ that's broken ( maybe inside the connector) ..I repaired numerous peavey products and broken grounds are common.
